Sorry, I just had to start this thread. A while ago, I wasn't disciplined enough to be trusted with a jar of nut butter in my house, but now I can have several jars in stock and enjoy them in moderation.
Right now, I have Peanut Butter n' Co.'s Might Maple peanut butter. It's a tad sweet, but I'm digging the maple flavor!
My absolute favorite so far is Justin's Maple Almond.

What's Your Favorite Nut Butter?

We tend to get fairly standard nut butters here in Aus, no amazing flavours like in the USA. But I am totally digging fresh local macadamia butter, it is the most delicious nut butter ever! Nom!

I am in love with Whole Foods "grind your own" honey roasted peanut butter. There is some sugar in it, but its actually lower in sugar that some of the "natural" peanut butters out there. Its dangerous though. I think the first time I bought it I ate half the container with a spoon!!
I also started making my own nut butters in a food processor. Cashew is awesome!!

My total favorite of all time was from Trader Joe's - they carried a crunchy almond flax. The flax was toasted and imparted a nutty yummy flavor and texture to the crunchy almond butter. Alas! They pulled it from the shelves when some of the products from the producer tested positive for E.Coli. I do hope they bring it back soon...

DiannaPrince and Gia85, I hope it gets easier for you to eat just a spoonful or two! x_x
I've never seen macadamia butter in my city. Sounds amazing though. I've also never seen cashew butter here, either.
All this nut butter talk is making me want some now!

YES! PB&Co Dark Chocolate Dream, Maple, and Cinnamon Raisin Swirl are staples for me. I don't really like regular PB (gasp! I know...). I like the Justin's Honey PB, but can only find it in single packs. I also am in love with Biscoff spread, one of my guilty pleasures

I'm so jealous.
I'll just stick to plain natural peanut butter.

i always have a jar of natural peanut butter in the house but also natural almond butter peanut butter for my protein shakes and baking.. almond butter for my plain rice cakes as a snack at work. mmm!! i had cashew butter recently but I dont like it as much as the other two. I'm thinking about buying pb2 chocolate when it's in stock.. anyone try it? i have issues moderating my peanut butter consumption too so i've heard that pb2 is a good alternative as i could put it in my shakes.

You guys are making me crave some right now! Had some almond butter this morning with my pumpkin protein bread
I also really like Naturally More, PB, but I really don't like that they took out the egg whites and added soy protein. Not sure if they did that for the safety or just to have a larger customer base. Probably both! Tastes pretty much the same... I just rather have egg protein than soy protein :P

Sure! It's essentially Jamie Eason's recipe on here, except I weigh everything out and add a bit less Stevia in the Raw... so you can add more if you want it more sweet. I like it with less since I top it with sweetened nut butter :b
60 grams Oats
1/8 tsp Salt
3 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
1/8 tsp Allspice, Ground
12 grams (Stevia) In the Raw
60 grams Gold Standard Natural 100% Whey
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
184 grams (All Whites) 100% Liquid Egg Whites
213 grams (Libby's) 100% Pure Pumpkin
62 grams Water
Mix dry ingredients first, then add the wet. Bake at 350F for about 20-30 minutes, depending on the pan you use. The deeper the pan, the longer the time, but you can always keep an eye on it. :3
I like to cut it into 16 bars. With my protein powder (130 calories per 30g scoop), each bar is about 44 calories.

I prefer peanut butter for everyday, but if I want sweet or spicy then almond butter is my go-to.

Peanuts are not true nuts but legumes, and as such contain lectins which can be harmful for some people. The Paleo crowd tend to avoid them as a result. Having said that, peanut butter does taste good. I like Whole Earth (I don't know if this is available in the US) which is just peanuts and salt.
Usually, though, I buy almond butter - however, my local healthfood shop stocks all sorts of nut butters but they're prohibitively expensive (I only work part time so my budget is tight).Current log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=149169243
Now cutting!
