Am I paying too much for food?

I weigh 85kg at 6 foot 1

I take in 4000 cals a day for bulking (+500)

450g carbs
250g protein
133g fat

(Please dont tell me I'm eating too much of one thing or the other, this is working for me so please don't)

And I'm spending around $15-$20 on food, mainly the meat.

Now I live in Australia and the price of meat may be different.

Over here (THIS IS ONE DAYS WORTH OF FOOD!)

644g of Chicken breast cost $11.38 (3 big chicken breasts)

280g of Beef cost $3.85

and 1kg brown rice is $3.69 (but i only eat half of this a day)

and 1 sweet potato $1.70


And this is one of the cheapest stores for buying meat in Sydney (Woolworths)

For that seems quite expensive for one day unless I'm wrong.

I pay $3 for 96% lean ground beef (~1.25lbs) and $3 for 4 big chicken breasts. Brown rice is around $1 for 2 cups and sweet potatoes are about..... I have no idea, I can't remember...

Yeah it costs a lot to eat big. Been struggling with this myself lately.

I'd say I spend about... £10 (Around $14.50 AUD) a day (not taking protein shakes into account.. because effort), and I'm eating less than you are haha.

I think meat is just crazy expensive. It sucks but if you don't want to buy frozen stuff it's the way it goes.

Bodybuilding is an expensive sport my friend. I spend about that much on my food as well. Meat is rather expensive and only gets more expensive the higher quality you get!

I spend a good grand on food every month... And not food my mom makes at home I mean all the subs, sandwiches and all that stuff... Makes me sad I could be using this money for the greater good If I save it up and learned how to get by with food at home lol... **** I'm stubborn man
