My dad was an angry drunk and I was a smartass as a kid, so I had a good amount of ass beatings as a kid. I made the mistake of laughing once when my mom spanked me. From then on my worst punishment was, "Wait until your dad gets home." That phrase was so much worse than the actually belt he hit me with.
I think I had it easy though. My dad's step dad using to make him and his siblings fight for dinner. He was the youngest of 6 kids, and it got to the point where his older siblings would let him win fights so he could eat dinner.

Got bruises on a daily basis as a kid. Think most kids should be hit if they f*** around a little. Not too much, but just enough. No need for bruises, just discipline.

Got the chit beat out of me when I was younger. Looking back, I deserved all of the beatings. Still undecided as to how I plan on disciplining my kids. Beating will probably be a federal crime by the time I have kids with the way society is headed.

My parents held onto those spiked me metal/leather belts they had from the 70s... I still might have a war scar from one of them on my ass lol. My dad was freakin strong brb benching 315 for reps like it was nothing. He would pick me up in the air with one hand and beat me with the other lol. Once I got older it stopped but he would sit down and talk to me... Boy after the conversations we had I felt like complete **** to the point I'd feel like giving up on life.

No, and I don't think I would have been better for it anyway. I was never really a bad kid though, never really got in trouble at all. I don't believe in it and think that when I have kids I want them to think why they did something, not "wtf did dad hit me" but that's just me.

Come to think of it... I'm remembering more **** now.
My mum used to pull my ear and shake that thing whenever I did something wrong. Boy did that hurt.
She also used to pull me by the hair of where my sideburns are. That is probably the most painful hairs to have pulled.
Like I said before, I had me and my sister's heads banged together by my dad.
Also, if I wasn't within reaching distance, my mother would throw something at me, like a slipper.
My mum also hit my head with a remote so hard once, the batteries fell out lol.
My dad slapped me across the face once and HARD. Like the ones you see on the tv. I used to get lots of slaps from my mother.
