Last night did my workout but pushed nyself mainly soin traps shrugs.. I usaly put a plate on ea side and do 10 reps but was pumped last night so did 55 ea hand.. Now this morning feels like a torticollis!! Cant bend my neck sideways on one side..
After stretching 10 minutes relaxing its better.. Can the workout cause this or its just a bad sleep?

Its your workout that caused it.
Chances are you already have over active traps from sitting all day so they are already tired muscles. Now they have spasmd and you cant move your neck... I know... happened to me last week, went to a physio and got some dry needling done to release the tension
Upper trap stretches and heat packs help
Also dont roll your shoulder when doing shrugs just in case you are
