I'm solidly impressed with Bridgewater so far, it's tough to put this loss on him. His pocket presence is already above average 7 games into his career. Yes, he definitely lofted a few throws today and the int was bad.
They really need to improve on the OLine, though. He had very little time in the pocket today and no QB's going to be successful with that O-line.

Well, there are a lot of similarities. Through their first 7 games:
Teddy:
60.9%
1479
4 td
6 INT
75 rating
Ponder:
56%
1522
9 TD
8 INT
77 rating
Ponder had more yards per attempt as well.
Bridgewater seems to have a better arm and is more accurate but otherwise they're pretty similar at this point in their career. Neither one of them was really able to run the offense effectively, most of the time. Neither was great in the important spots in games for the most part.
Not passing judgement yet but so far not that big of a difference than Ponder at this stage.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

No, I think Teddy is better than Ponder just not sold on him being the 10-12 year Vikes starter yet.
Ponder had better OL and AP, so that defintely factors in but I'm not sure I'd say Teddy passes the eye test either. He definitely looks more poised than Ponder though.
I'm just in a hold pattern on Teddy. He's rookie, we probably won't know what we have for another year or two.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

Ahhh I'm right there with ya... Just wanna see Bridgewater get a full training camp in next summer with the starters instead of fuking Cassel (I was so mad at the training camp scrimmage). You can tell he needs to get his timing and rhythm down with his receivers, I think the majority of his accuracy "issues" thus far have stemmed from this. I mean chit, the dude had a > 70% completion in his college career.
Just need the Vikes to draft Devante Parker here this year, would seriously lol hard... Those two were lethal together at UL.

Legit nervous for Theodore's life....
On the bright side I think the team is definitely moving in the right direction going forward. I see our biggest weakness(es) on the OLine, and next for me would probably be secondary or LB. Other than that I really like how the other position groups have looked. Zimmer's coaching has really turned that bottom feeder defense we had around, imo it's amazing what he has done. Literally went from, what, dead last(?) last year to this:
15th right now in ppg
13th in ypg
7th against the pass (ho-lee fuk)
Still a long ways to go, but hey things are looking up.
