Yes, I know what they are. I also know that smoking gives you cancer and not wearing your seatbelt increases your chances of death by massive factors - but people still do both don't they......
Nope, several studies on it. Some are more contentious than others (E.g. Kellerman's). The rates of accidental discharge and injury far outstrip the rates of home intruders being shot/shot at/aimed at. Just in the same way that more chainsaw accidents occur via mishandling than attacks from other people. It's a pointless argument - but just illustrates that this 'I have a gun, now my family is safe' mentality doesn't hold true.
There's various studies, I have no idea which one you are referring to.
No misinformation. You also raise the point about responsible gun owners - and here is the common mistake. You all assume that all gun owners are responsible. I have no issue with gun ownership whatsoever, but your methods of control are awful. Congratulations on the fact you are well educated and know how to use a firearm safely. Are you telling me that everyone is like that? Some of you have contested my previous posts by saying 'well I keep my gun in a safe, so the study you quoted is bull****.' Seriously.......
Lol, and by 'drone strike' you mean they are going to launch a missile at a stolen car? More misinformation from you, color me not surprised. Drones are being looked at for use with tracking, they will not be armed with either non-lethal or lethal weapons.

And every single one is somewhere between deceptive and intentionally misleading with a false "result", and an outright lie.
If you believe one that shows that is accurate then please, by all means, link that ****. Let's see its methods and its data.Last edited by Farley1324; 03-20-2013 at 02:04 PM.

And then we can give everyone nukes too, everyone will be safer. And then we can make even more stupid, absurd arguments which make us look like idiots. At what point are you going to stop blaming objects instead the people doing the killing? I guess it's easier to point fingers at an inanimate object instead of taking responsibility.
Nothing bad ever happens in the UK, strong argument. Here, let me go find 2 murders from the UK to counter your 2 examples from the US.Do I even lift?

I'm not a Yank, I'm a Rebel.
As for assault rifles, they're banned in America. The "assault rifles" that the media talk about are semi-automatic rifles made to look like military assault rifles.
Stabbings kill and shootings kill. Which can kill more? Depends on the circumstance. Gasoline can kill if you use it well too. And guess what? You don't need a background check to buy gasoline. Just go to the gas station, and fill up a few cans, and you can set arson to an occupied building and cause many deaths.
Your views are fine. If there were no guns at all in society, there would be no shootings. But before guns, people used swords, which caused much more gruesome deaths. It's completely fine to hate guns.
I like owning guns. I also prefer that my family defends themselves with guns instead of with a knife or crowbar.Everything you need to know about becoming a male stripper: http://malestripping.blogspot.com

U.K has their people thinking they don't NEED guns. That's fine if that's how they want to live. Hell I wouldn't trust a ton of those immigrants with guns either.
However, I'd rather take my chances in a majority white neighborhood with everyone concealed carrying, than be unarmed in a "diverse" city filled with unruly youths carrying knives.
One is WAY more dangerous than the other in my opinion.RIP Colin Flaherty

No, it's entirely gun related, you just lack the intelligence to understand it. I spelled it out fairly clearly in the rest of the post......
I've got nothing against gun ownership. I've fired plenty of them myself (legally in the US). That said, you can't extend your own sensibilities onto the wider population.
