Cliffs:
An assault rifile must meet these conditions:
1. Selective fire capability (both semi and full auto in one weapon)
2. Intermediate caliber (normally a shorter cartridge around 35-45 mm long case this began with the 7.92 kurtz Kurtz means short in the STG 44 the first assault rifle)
3. Detachable magazine with 20 or more round capablilty.
the ar15 is NOT an assualt rifle the M16 is an assualt rifle see rule #1
Although there are some that are trying to change the definition of an assault rifile in order to ban AR15's; which is really a political move.
Anyone have the cliffs on British guns laws? I know there are some people with guns in the UK, mostly for hunting I asssume.

And every single one is somewhere between deceptive and intentionally misleading with a false "result", and an outright lie.
If you believe one that shows that is accurate then please, by all means, link that ****. Let's see its methods and its data.

Let's get some facts straight.
The majority of firearms used in homicides in the United States are cheap handguns. Not rifles, not shotguns, and certainly not sporterized rifles.
The homicides that these guns are used in are usually people of color on people of color and low income individuals. The guns are a tool.
To truly fix the problem of homicides in the United States, one needs to look at why these people are doing it and how to give them greater opportunities so that they don't have to resort to getting in "the game" where you love by the gun and die by the gun.
As for the place of guns in this country...
They're not for hunting or shooting at paper or clay targets. We are afforded the right to bear arms to defend ourselves, the citizenry of the United States, from tyranny.
Tyranny isn't the President going off the rails and declaring martial law. Tyranny is being gay in Laramie, Wyoming, or being black in Jasper, Texas.
As said before, they are an equalizer, and they provide those who would otherwise be oppressed to defend themselves from tyranny.WARNING: This post may contain material offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense and/or supporting factual or anecdotal evidence. I've got redneck American things to go do. Kill and eat innocent animals, drive a vehicle bigger than a refrigerator box, play some Foreigner/Styx/Bob Seger too loud, enjoy not having a neighbor within 1 mile, play with fireworks, engage in mutual combat, and....
shoot some guns

Well over half of the UK's "violent crime" results in no injury to the victim, whereas in America 100% of it does, due to differing definitions. U mad?
Murder RATE you uneducated hillbilly fck. I genuinely hope these threads attract the bottom 10% of you and this is not how dumb you all actually are

You're going to be here a long time bro, feel free to neg me into oblivion but the fact of the matter is that I'm not spending my Wednesday evening compiling a reference list. Perhaps another day, perhaps another argument. Kellermann's study was awful, but even Klick left room for the truthful nature of my statement. Regardless, as I've already stated, the result of the study doesn't prove anything (see comparison to bread knives and shower curtains, it just dispels the myth that by owning a gun you are automatically safer. YOLO.

If you guys can accomplish these crime rates WITHOUT guns, it's probably good that you can't have them.
http://politicaloutcast.com/2013/01/...united-states/
" It gets worse. “Overall, 5.4 million crimes were recorded in the UK in 2007 — more than 10 a minute — second only to Sweden. . . . It means there are over 2,000 crimes recorded per 100,000 population in the UK, making it the most violent place in Europe.”
Great Britain’s crime rate is nearly four times that of the United States. “By comparison, America has an estimated rate of 466 violent crimes per 100,000 population.” "

Are you that stupid mate? Haven't you seen that same argument regurgitated time and time again? Haven't you been told time and time again violent crime is measured completely differently here than in the US?
I'll do your research for you.
"United Kingdom
Includes all violence against the person, sexual offences, and robbery as violent crime."
"United States
The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Uniform Crime Report (FBI UCR) counts four categories of crime as violent crimes: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault."
Can you see why they're not comparable now?PC Master Race
