No there isn't a certain age, but 5 times is too many times a week. Stick with 3-4. I say do 20/40 intervals. It is VERY hard to sprint for 30 secs...I'd even suggest doing 10/50 intervals first...
not to sound like a n00b, but what exactly is HIIT? Im assuming it's where you do one excercise, but change the intesity throughout the workout...
If so, what would be a good one for jumproping? Im thinking something like 30 seconds fast(about 120 jumps a minute), then 1 minute of moderate(about 90 jumps a minute, then 30 secs of rest, then startover.
