No offense to the high rep powered ripped chubby shorts wearing miscers, but you shouldn't keep posting pics from the 70's and using references from 20's,30's,40's,50's to make your point.
You can't really say guys wearing regular basketball shorts are "trying to hard to be cool" since that's the "norm" in the US. 99% of guys my age lounge around in basketball shorts. Nothing "trying to be cool" about that.
I do understand that amongst the BB community begs are neglected so those of you shredded with beastly legs want to show off, but who do you think is mirin? Definitely not women. They may mire that you lift but probably think it's goofey to wear shorts shorter than hers. So are you guys just trying to impress other lifters? Men? I think that's where the "short shorts are for homosexuals" comes from.
Even the phrase "nice legs" sounds like something that should be said to women not men. I understand the importance of having beastly legs. I just don't understand the need to show them off to men AND if you are trying to show them off then might as well start shaving them too so everyone can mire how vascular your legs are.
Where do you draw the line!!!!?? Legs are mired for utility, strong legs = fast runner, high jumper. NOT miring legs for their vanity that's for women.
Confused is confusedEE

I live in the south where sperry polo crew is rampant and they wear those shorter regular shorts yet at the beach its all board shorts....kinda blows my mind.
only shorts I have with <9" inseam are for sports all the rest go to middle of knee max, actually I think my mountain bike shorts are a bit longer but they are suppose to be.

you guys should just wear what's comfortable and the style you like and not care if people think you squat, are gay, etc. Who cares?
and idk about short shorts and skinny jeans starting in europe. They were wearing short shorts in like the 60s to early 90s in the US, and skinny jeans as well especially with bands. Then baggy jeans and shorts took over when rap became popular. Baggy jeans/no belt began in prison bc they didn't have belts. I wear both semi-baggy and not tight but more of a fitted jeans. I have slightly below and slightly above shorts too. What I wear depends on what else I'm wearing, what's comfortable, weather, occasion, etc. But I def won't be caught wearing something that could pass for boxers or my dick will pop out of if I fall or something. Just not my style.
