I have never seen a guy in his 20's wear <9" at the beach/ocean or anywhere. Not saying it lame beacuse its not popular. Just not sure what draws guys to short shorts. No girls are mirin, ever. I mean lets be serious if you are ripped girls are mirin as soon as you take off your shirt. The shorts almost come off as goofey. I could imagine girls laughing at a guys pale hairy legs in <9" shorts.

and idk about short shorts and skinny jeans starting in europe. They were wearing short shorts in like the 60s to early 90s in the US, and skinny jeans as well especially with bands. Then baggy jeans and shorts took over when rap became popular. Baggy jeans/no belt began in prison bc they didn't have belts. I wear both semi-baggy and not tight but more of a fitted jeans. I have slightly below and slightly above shorts too. What I wear depends on what else I'm wearing, what's comfortable, weather, occasion, etc. But I def won't be caught wearing something that could pass for boxers or my dick will pop out of if I fall or something.
