    Cut time

Hey guys, thought I'd share the results of my bulk with y'all, and hopefully receive some advice for my upcoming cut.

So I was 165 pounds in December, probably around 12% body fat and weak. I was benching 195, squatting 255 and deadlifting 300. I decided to go on a bulk mainly to increase strength.

I am currently 205 and around 17% body fat (guessing). I now pause bench 255, squat 405, and deadlift 400. All those numbers were performed at a powerlifting meet in the raw 220 weight class.

But now I think it is time to cut. I would like to lean down before summer, and before football season starts back up. The problem is the last time I went on a cut I lost majority muscle mass (dropped from 185 to 160) and I would like some diet advice to minimize muscle loss. I plan on weight training everyday and do 20 minutes of cardio every day after I wake up. Any and all cutting advice is appreciated

I am no expert but i would say that you need to make sure that you do not lower your calories too much maybe only a couple of hundred below maintanence.
Yeah, I had a girlfriend once, but she couldn’t spot me, so what was the point?

Have you read the stickies? If not do so

Find out your maintenance calorie intake and eat in a small maintenance if you wanna retain as much weight as possible

    Consume adequate protein/fats

Read stickies to properly calculate macros. It is always better to start at higher calories and then lower them then to do the opposite in my opinion.

I like to add cardio later in a cut so I don't have to lower my calories to much. Keeping strength is all about training smart and keeping your macros at an optimal level to keep lifts the same
