Hi everybody,
I have my own home gym for 5 years and after all the modifications I made so far, I think it is about time to share my experience with all the details (pics included) of my journey in home gym bodybuilding. I took pictures from the beginning of my experience and I will take pictures of what I have now. I bought the majority of what I have owned new, here in Canada the craiglist market (kijiji) is very limited and I am the kind of guy that wants everything now, I hate to wait a long time before having it.
I began 5 years ago, I followed the guide lines here on forum.bodybuilding.com so i bought:
Ironmaster with add-on kit dumbbells
Keys fitness power rack with lat pulldown
Keys fitness fid bench with preacher curl and leg curl extensions attachments
Olympic barbell with 300 pounds of olympic plates with weight tree
6 months later I added:
Leg press/hack squat by Northern lights
Flat and incline bench
200 pounds more olympic plates
Elliptical Sportop E7000
At that moment I was at 4300$ for everything brand new....
But I was not satisfied yet...
here are the pics of the setup I had 5 years ago

Three years later, scooring kijiji (Canadians Craiglist) i found an Ironmaster Multi System that came with 300 more olympic plates and a few hex dumbbells (not pictured). I bought a kit of Nautilus selectech which by the way I hated more than everything (unstable and poor quality) because i was tired of unscrewing the ironmasters all the time... I finished the basement so it is much more cleaner than before...
I spent another 1800$ for all this.

Awesome gym!
But overkill. You only need a versacycle, Amstaff standard bench and 200 pounds of standard weight!
:-)You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I guess you are using "gay" here as synonymous with "merry, cheerful, jolly or blythe" and not as a perjorative term for homosexuality. Because if you were, it would mean that you lack the intellect to come up with any original or creative insults and instead rely on tired racist, sexist or homophobic taunts when bested b others. It would also suggest that you lack maturity. And I don't mean that you are young, though I suspect you are.

Thanks! I wanted a solid grey rack 8 foot tall with storage for plates and a sturdy dip attachment that can be bolted to the floor. The only one i found in canada for a good price was the ptec. The ptec is not a bad rack. I hate the j cups, they are strong and solid enough but they are silver metal plated which does scratches my black bars. I order some rogue sandwich j cups i think they will fit and if they dont ill make them and that will make my rack a lot better. I would take some band pegs too! But for 1400$ in Canada it is a legit rack!
