How long is protein good after the expiration date ?

I was curious if anyone knows how long after the expiration date on a container of
protein would it be considered good or time to get rid of. Any feed back from someone
    who knows would be appreciated.

As long as it's sealed well and smells/tastes/mixes the same as an unexpired tub.

Depends on how it was handled and stored, the type of protein and its composition and other added ingredients among other things. Chances are you won't get sick as long as it's not foul smelling and doesn't taste off but the quality of the protein and other components could definitely be diminished.

As long as its sealed its good for a while, I have had several brands of expired proteins and have been fine. I had one that was 6 months expired or so and I had to throw it out because it tasted like spoiled milk. If it tastes fine your good.

I wouldn't use it after 2-3, maybe 4 months past expiration probably.. That's my opinion though. Of all supplements/expiration dates to stress over, protein is the one supplement I wouldn't hesitate to throw out after expiration. Of course you need to take into consideration how you stored it... (dark room + cool temperature + no moisture is key).

It's only 1 month over the expiration and it's sealed and I keep it in a cool dry cabinet where I store all
my protein. Thank you everyone for your responses it was very helpful.
