Looking for a sled?

If you're looking for a really high quality push/pull sled for a reasonable price....

These guys are local to me (McKinney TX), so I just picked this up today for $200 plus tax, they do however ship out of state. The sled is very well built, has good welds, and replaceable skids. The center post will fit 4 plates with about .5" left over at the top. Because of the way the push bar holders have threaded insets for bolts, you can't get additional plates over them on the rear of the sled. I think if I ever have the need to put more weight on it I'll just get a 2' section of pipe and make an extender for the center post. Either way, considering that all the other sled's of this quality are at least 50~60 more, it's a fantastic deal.

Nice. I'd love to have a sled like that. But be careful, you'll get negged for posting strongman type stuff on here. Eventhough there's huge benefits to training things like that even for bodybuilders, I guess some people feel insecure and/or self righteous and have to be jerks to people who train stuff like this.

I'll be recieveing a sled from Dicks Sporting Goods this week. It won't be as sturdy as that one but I hope to wear it down to nothing in a couple of of years.

meh, they can neg all they want, I'd rather have functional strength than be pretty.

Of course, there's no danger of me being mistaken for pretty.....lol

Was using a similar prowler a few weeks ago but with high and low handles at the front and no centre post. They are fun to use, way harder work than I expected.

OP, thanks for posting. I saw the website on the picture of the sled, and I checked it out. I've written in for a shipping quote. Nice that the skids are replaceable and relatively inexpensive.

On a side note, is that a Northern Lights hyper I see in the background?

Ya, I actually got it for $30 off CL last summer....couldn't believe it.
Paid the guy and had it loaded up in less than a minute, didn't want to give him time to change his mind.
