Day 8. I have failed many times before, and said that it was the last time.
This time I am truly determined to at least get over 100 days.
I always think about that episode of South Park, when Stan's dad thinks he has a drinking problem because he thinks he can't stop drinking. It's all about discipline, discipline come within.

Since we are in a bodybuilding forum I think that most people here eat a lot of eggs.
Whole large egg - 112 mg choline
I love eggs, I can report that since I've started eating eggs daily I feel a little happier and my brain is more lucid.
Frank Yang said that after eating 12 eggs he felt high, I don't know if he was trolling though.
If you want other ideas for no fap supplementations read this: http://yourbrainonporn.com/libido-balancing-supplements
Personally I'd take only a multi, fish oil and maybe l-tyrosine. I didn't try many of the others suggestions.Last edited by BoredBrah; 07-07-2013 at 01:02 PM.

I had the biggest urge to fap last night and this morning, but managed to resist. But I'm not sure I can keep it up (pun intended) for the rest of July.

Not surprised by this at all, how do you think she feels when you don't get off by ****ing her? Well essentially the same way you should feel when she doesn't get off except with men it is just expected to happen every time and most females have a self limiting belief of orgasms when it comes to sex but that is a whole other can of worms. Glad you realized there is a problem and you are taking steps to correct it. Don't let that situation with her drag you down, use it as a catalyst to not make that mistake with the next HBB.

To the user who asks if it works, yes it does.
For those of you who read that I relapsed, it definitely came at a high price. I seriously am in the worst mood in many months of this. I feel like crap, super angry. Yes, there are extenuating circumstances to why I'm irritated, but I believe that my failure has compounded what I normally would feel and how I react. Freaking sucks.

Got these two responses from the same guy on my youtube feed today, many lulz were had. I'll also post my responses.
250 days is manic. why would you wanna go so long without. a week to a month i understand but half a year plus without is excessive.
Who are you to define what is excessive and what is not? The "norm" is purely defined by culture and other environmental circumstances, if we grew up in a civilization where masturbation was abhorrent I'd be "normal".
As for why would I? Read up on asceticism. There's value in giving up simple pleasures, it's unfortunate you clearly can't comprehend such a concept.
i actually think its good to go 2 weeks without and then maybe fap once in between before going without again. that is a natural wanking habit. its healthy to masturbate just not excessively. i fap to porn a lot but i dont see why you have to go hundreds of days without. you should just let ur body reset to a natural point and then if you want to wank do so just dont get addicted which is what a lot of men do.
Next you'll talk about a "natural drinking habit", and a "natural drug habit", to advocate drinking and drugs respectively.
And don't say they are different, just as masturbation has benefits so does both alcohol consumption and drugs (medicinal marijuana for example).

My apologies, I got sidetracked again.
I am in a serious lull at the moment in regards to productivity. Today I got pissed off while I was at work because it's the same old **** again, saying as soon as i got home that was it; I was going to get my head down and get my life in order. But by the time I get back, I just wanted to relax again. Now I have some cooking on the go, and I was trying to find something to watch while I do so but I can't help but think watching something will make me want to spend the rest of the night watching stuff.
So I am just going to eat in silence, and return to my room hoping I won't want to zone out more.Into- Mountaineering, running & Djent/Progressive music.

Alright I'm new to this no fap thing but after reading the intro, I need to try it out.
Couldn't get it up with the last few girls I've been with. Might have been the booze, may have been nerves thinking about not being able to get it up or may have been from fapping or a combination of the three...
Regardless, can anyone give me some feedback on how no fapped helped them. My libido feels awful right now, I even had to prove I wasn't gay to myself by fapping to straight up girls.

Dropping in with some info some of you have probably already seen, but I think it'll be useful to some of you who are always unclear of what constitutes as porn or failing/reset.
http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/what-...-did-i-relapse
That whole article cleared up a lot for me, I've relapsed before when I came across a pic on fb. My mind was telling me "it's not porn, so it's fine". It wasn't fine, it was failure because I was 'mimicking' my porn habits.
The main bulk of the article:
We receive daily questions about what's "approved", or what's a "relapse", or whether X, Y, or Z, will slow someone's reboot. Such questions cannot be answered. A better question is, "What type of brain training leads to addictive changes in my brain, and am I repeating it?"
In this regard, accidental exposure to something arousing is not a relapse. In fact, I seriously doubt any incidental images of anything, including hard core porn, could set one back. Sensitization occurs when an addict purposely pursues his addiction. Animal experiments show that actively choosing to take a drug wires up the brain differently from having it injected with no conditioned stimulus. Pursuing or working for the addictive drug causes sensitization - which is THE core addiction brain change. The animal associates taking the drug with its own deliberate action, and the brain wires accordingly.
Actively searching ******** is activating sensitized addiction pathways and reinforcing your addiction. Bumping into hard-core images, then immediately closing the page is actually strengthening the willpower parts of your brain. If an alcoholic could easily stop after 1/2 glass of wine...he would have no problems...right? (See Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (extinction) for more). Avoid linking deliberate seeking with arousal. An accidental glimpse isn't chosen. However, dwelling on the image you glimpse, fantasizing about it later, or seeking other images because of it can be counterproductive.
Recovering from porn addiction is not the same as recovering from addictions to alcohol or drugs. Chemical addictions are black and white. An alcoholic swears off drinking for life. Orgasm, sex, masturbation, sex scenes in movies, pictures of sexy women, will all continue to be a part of your life. If you believe you have relapsed - get over it - and get back on the no-porn horse.
The question you need to ask yourself is: "Do my behaviors or actions mimic how I used porn?" If so, then you may be reactivating sensitized addiction pathways. Only you can answer this question. ******** is a common example I hear about, where guys mimic the exact same MO (method of operation) as they did with porn use: searching, clicking, surfing in the quest for synthetic sexual novelty (not involving real people) in order to stimulate their desensitized brains. Or very simply - am I substituting artificial stimuli for the real deal?
Which scenario is more like porn addiction?
- Surfing dating site, while imagining sex with completely clothed females, as you click from picture to picture.
- An afternoon in a nudist colony?
Number one, of course. Internet porn addiction is NOT about nakedness - its an addiction to novelty. Artificial novelty.
One more thing
Frank Yang has done an actually helpful video regarding no fap/no porn, or any other addiction. Skip to 0:15 to avoid trippy intro.
He talks about accepting the urge instead of trying to suppress it...
EDIT: After watching that video in it's entirety, I'm back in on No Fap. I'm using wet dreams as a justification to fap every now and then, which is ludicrous.
He makes a good point towards the end about getting to a certain point on no fap or no porn, that your brain actually completely turns around and views fapping as bad for you. You'll relapse and feel disgusting and guilty afterwards, that's just a sign of progress and an indication that you should get back on the horse. I was definitely at this point with no porn, I was on a ~2 month and relapsed, afterwards I felt physically sick with guilt and disappointment.
I may have failed numerous times this year, but I'm making progress and that's what matters.Last edited by nattyuser; 07-07-2013 at 11:46 AM.

If I failed and I fap but I don't watch porns I don't feel guilt and disappointed. Instead it happens if I watch porns, it actually have always happened to me, also on fap fap times. Without porns I need to fap a lot to feel guilty about it.
Anyway it was easier to stop using ********, I simply deleted my account .

Perhaps that's an indication that you haven't got far with re-associating fapping as a bad thing to do, that is of course if you're trying no fap. I feel a lot less guilt if I fap without watching porn, but that only means I've still got a ways to go.
Imagine if Tobias fapped to his imagination right now, he'd feel disgusted with himself, even more so than we do when we relapse to porn. It's all about the time you put in and the level you're at.

So doing this for a prolong period of time, and then having sex, would cause you to bust in like under a minute? Right?

Need feedback
I've been struggling with ending my porn addiction since May 2nd. Have made several small streaks (longest was 8, and just failed on a 6 day one). My strategy for my last streak is very good and prevents me from being vulnerable to fapping (i limit computer browsing time to 2 hours in evenings). I get very noticeable withdrawal symptoms. Particularly diarrhea and gas usually around day 3 or 4 and my last streak it came back on day 6. Also chemo like fatigue for a few days around day 3, and some other stuff.
The reason I failed this last time was that I accidentally signed into my erotic twitter account (i have 2) and literally couldnt help myself. I think i was most vulnerable because i came back from a really stressful family event (got into a big argument, probably from the tension of no fap lol) and i needed something to feel good to again. Before that moment i was doing well at resisting it.
It's important for me to end this addiction because i think it's tied to several health problems that escalated at the same time as my addiction, and ive found significant correlations with my efforts to stop. But its like crack to me. REALLY f*cking hard to stop once even a thought enters my head of a fetish. Whats worse is i have nothing to do this summer so aside from personal research, reading, lifting, etc. i am stuck to these thoughts. I'm thinking of taking NAC to reduce withdrawal symptoms, but other than that does anyone have any advice on how to end this? Should i just wait until school starts again to even try?I rep pro-AI posters

So like I said before, I'm doing this thing by weeks, not days, since some more experienced no-fappers have said focusing on days isn't really effective. But I'll be coming in here to read on you guys and reply to posts if there's a need.
So this is the first full week.Because so much time is spent debating the semantics of this "god" fellow, that the essence has been lost for so many.

couple of hours into Day 11
I think its getting easier to resist now. My brain is still making curiosity-based rationalisations (tempted to check for new videos on my favourite sites) but im coping just fine. Acne is almost gone, my face is clearer than it has been in ages, possibly years. Also got around to watching Tobias' 250 day vlog which was really great, loved the Friday Night Lights quote at the end, especially as i'm currently rewatching the TV series.
