MuscleTech Phase 8

After reading many great reviews about this protein, I decide I wanted to try it.

I currently use Syntha 6 and hands down that stuff taste amazing. I have yet to taste a protein that even comes close to there strawberry mixed with milk. I think there strawberry gives most milk shakes a run for there money. I rate there protein 10/10 on taste.

So I order 2 containers of Phase 8 and a bunch of other products from BB.com. I decide I'm not going to wait to try it even tho I just had a shake two hours before my order showed up.

So I mix up one scoop of Strawberry phase 8 and 8oz of milk. I'm not sure if its just the strawberry or that guys writing the reviews drink worse but this stuff is nasty!! It tasted like I chewed up a pill and the chemical taste stayed in my mouth. I had to chase it down with a few swigs of water and dumped about 2oz down the drain. At first sip it tasted ok but after a few gulps I'm ready to throw both of these tubs in the trash.

I rate there strawberry phase 8 a 4/10 in regards to taste. Thought I was going to have a new favorite protein from the reviews I read but all I ended up with was a wallet missing $30 and a full trash can. I guess you get what you pay for and that's why it's BOGO!

I will say I've been using MuscleTechs Neurocore on my off weeks from Jack3d and that stuff works and taste great!!!

People have been raving mainly about vanilla and a lot of chocolate also.. Not strawberry lol. Thanks for the heads up on the flavor!

That's kinda what I was thinking. That's why I made it clear that I was referring to strawberry. I'm not going to waste any more money trying other flavors. I'll just stick with what I know taste good. I would rather spend the extra money and enjoy my protein than dread drinking it.

My strawberry gets here tomorrow, so I'll chime in with my thoughts, too.

Vanilla and chocolate are both very good, so I have (or had, lol) high hopes for strawberry, too.

Sorry you didn't enjoy the Strawberry man. Hopefully we'll see some non-rep feedback start pouring in, but from some other users, they enjoyed it. Goes to show you how subjective taste can be.

We always appreciate the honest feedback. It can help for future formulations. Anything in particular you didn't like about the strawberry, taste wise? Like, sweetness, thickness, etc.? Just trying to pin point it!

Thanks for your opinion. I only have tried choclate Phase 8. Strawberry is the one that I am looking most forward to. I am glad you like the Neurocore at least. It also happens to be buy 1, get 1 free as per time in my post.

I'm going to try it with water tomorrow. Maybe it didn't mix well with the milk. Some of the great reviews I've read on vanilla they tried it with water.

My biggest issue was that after I swallowed a mouthful, it left a chalky residue that tasted like I chewed an aspirin. It had a very weird chemical taste. I then blended the protein further and still the same outcome. Protein actually foamed up like crazy.

Sorry for the bad review but I had high hopes when ordering. I'll give the Vanilla a shot before I give up on Phase 8. Is there anyway I can get a sample?

I always highly recommend Neurocore. I got 4 of my friends using it after they discontinued Jack3d. I've had fruit punch which is great tasting but the Blue Raz is amazing! Haven't tried the grape yet. I always have atleast 2 cans of Neurocore on hand. I have 6 at the moment due to it being on sale.

Strawberry is a tough flavor to find a company that makes it taste good and with out a chemical after
taste but I am almost finished with Muscle Pharm Combat Triple berry and they did a good job with that
flavor. I don't use it every day because I have a lot of protein so I never get tired of the same flavor
but when ever I do use the triple berry flavored Combat powder I enjoy it.

That is great news and a good brand to compare it to. Strawberry is a flavor that not everyone will agree with each other on. I haven't tried the strawberry, but have some on the way. I typically go for flavors other than vanilla or choclate.

I have tried the strawberry since I made the above post. It is my favorite Phase flavor. Taste is highly subjective though.
