I have been hearing and seeing tons of ppl eating pop tarts pre or post workout and i want to know whats the deal with them? Would having them pre or post along with some protein not be a horrible thing? Just seems to sound odd that i see and hear of ppl doing this.

Good amount of p/c/f and calorie dense for very cheap. Good to have around when your bulk cal requirements get big. I also think the strawberry and cinnamon ones taste good.

Taste good and easy calories, what's not to like?
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Ppl originally though pop-tarts were bad because they had bad macros but ppl discovered that they could fit it into their macros so they enjoy showing off what they can eat w/their macros by eating pop-tarts, it's calorie dense taste artifical and taste decent but isn't filling, basically ppl ate it to show off to others....

I don't believe that for a second. And even if it was to show off, what does it matter? If people fit what many call "junk food" it into their macros, I find it humorous to show it off...much like the entire "Ice Cream Eating Now" thread. Some balk at it, I find it fun...and delicious.
Oh, and SMORES pop tarts!

Make your own Pop Tarts, alter P/F/C as you see fit:
