Lets talk to the successful people, and ask how many of them wished for a time machine so that they could go back and "enjoy" themselves instead. Now lets talk to the unsuccessful people, and ask how many of them would wish they had made different choices work/study wise.
Pretty sure the latter would have more people on the time machine. Still, the beauty, imo, is in the compromise...you have to keep your sanity, but i would never discourage anyone pursing something. I hope medical researchers are working 100 hours a week to try and find a cure for cancer, or ebola or wtv...that kind of behavior is needed in society, and without it, replaced with the "you can die tomorrow" mindset, you would live in a much worse world.
How long are you studying 50 hours/week for sammy? are you prepping for exams or are you mid-semester? I've studied more than that plenty of times at the end of every semester in college, for 4-6 weeks. I would never had been able to maintain that on a regular basis throughout the semester though.Last edited by Unbiasedfan; 10-22-2014 at 06:51 AM.

thanks, yeah i really want to get into medical school, i'm probably going to increase to 60 hrs or so when I have better idea on how to manage time/ get all macros in without wasting 3hrs per day.
i am mid semester, but after semester is over i'll probably be doing 70 hrs per week studying for the mcat, then back in school doing 50-60 next semester, so i'm hoping to keep this going for around 7 more months. i know quality > quantity so i need to learn the most effective study methods, not just 10 hrs in one sitting without a break or something. but i do somewhat enjoy studying so much, being in the top of my class / doing better than everyone else also drives me to do study a lot lol. and i really need to do well on the mcat
i don't think so. i definitely won't ever marry a woman unless she's a doctor too or rich or something, no way i'd risk losing half of what i earned to some random girl who just wanted my money. probably won't have kids till im like in my 40s, so much money goes into that.
i feel bodybuilding gets a lot worse as you get older; during 20s I think it's really cool to compete and be obsessed with it, but in 30s/40s it'd be weird to be obsessed with bodybuilding especially if you're not one of the best. so yeah i don't see where my bodybuilding future is going from here. i guess there's a possibility i try to go full blown, but i won't blow my money
idk about him, i definitely wouldn't be living his kind of lifestyle or be using recreational drugsFull Blown Baby

Pre-nup?
Good that you enjoy studying, and have ambition Be sure to tell us how that studying schedule will go. 50 hours is a push, but manageable when you don't have classes. 70 hours...i would go crazy and would lose my productivity...burn out..."overstudy".
Life's best pleasures are completely subjective to each individual. You seriously can't generalize that. Still, people change as they get older. No way to know how Sammy will turn out lol"Kai's traps outsize him, when you compare them to the rest of his body, he's very very thick there, it makes him unbalanced." - Lee Thompson

you really think i'd do that? i stopped buying magazines years ago but even if i do buy a couple, it'd be like $200 total at most... i don't care about signed posters/bodybuilding trips. supps may be expensive but won't make me go broke, idk. i think i'll spend a lot in bodybuilding (regarding food/supps/competitions) but it's a big passion of mine so that's all good.
it's not like ill be one of those shmoes (MoB) that stalks pros and doesn't even lift lol. besides levrone i couldn't care less about any other bodybuilder
hnng
i heard pre nups get thrown out very quickly in court; plus i know a lot of girls just care about successful guys/rich guys, so yeah., esp in miami lol.anyway though if im still obsessed with medicine and bodybuilding i won't be meeting any girls ever anyway
and thanks, i'll let u know. i'm gonna strategize though to have maximum efficiency/prevent burnout. i also need to start going to the gym more, but i've lost some motivation since i'm 13 months out from another show. actually i can see my self doing the levrone approach.. maybe 6 months full blown, 6 months off/hardly even going to the gym lol.
and yeah i am not sure how i'll turn out either.Last edited by SammyJr; 10-22-2014 at 08:49 AM.

The sooner people realize that happiness is subjective and that doing what YOU love is the ultimate way to attain your OWN happiness, the quicker they'll be free from the toxic shaming that we receive from society/family and friends when it comes to following our path.
Then again if you give into the opinion's of others, did you REALLY deserve your dream?
