I probably won't go ( FA, no money)
Will I be known as that 1 guy who didn't go to prom and be thought of as a loser for the next 6-8 weeks, or will there be a good amount of other people who didn't go?

i didn't (srs)
only reason was because school went full potato and decided to have prom in the fuking school cafeteria while charging the same amount of money that they did the previous year, when they had prom at some off-campus location
i decided i didn't want to pay a chitload of money, rent outfit, etc. just to show up at the cafeteria for a few hours...fuk dat chit"Psai is the love child of Rick Ross, Ghandi and Oz" - Phoenix9369

Of course people are talking about it dude, but afterwards its irrelevant in the scheme of things. People will talk about it for the next month and then that'll be it.
Prom is just a lot of fun in some ways, especially if you're going with a girl who you can/will plow afterwards. But when I went I wasn't constantly thinking or worrying about who else I knew that wasn't there. I didn't care.
But again, just don't give a fuk if it really bothers you at school. A year from now very few people will remember and not care that harpoonbrah didn't show up.

Don't go just because you feel a societal pressure to go. If you want to go, then go. If you don't want to go, then don't go.
However a piece of advice (if that's what you're looking for): I went to prom with my gf at the time. It sucked balls, I did not have a good time. The food sucked, we had security watch us so there wasn't any risque dancing, among other things. But when I think back on it, I'm glad I went simply because prom is once in a lifetime and it's an experience that even though wasn't all that great, I'm glad I went through.Current/Goal

EDIT: On topic, didn't go. Just didn't want to. Pretty sure I went out drinking with a couple buddies who also couldn't be fuarked to pay $80 to hang out in the school gym. No regrets, most likely would have really not enjoyed myself. I heard the food was brutal. Happy that I do things that I actually want to do in life. I suggest you do the same.www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0sEIeOfThw
It's a mindphuck going back and looking at a Zyzz thread and then seeing that people who have replied have RIP ZYZZ messages in their sigs.

I didn't go, I was a chinese kid in a caribbean and black and indian school. A lot of my friends didn't go.For the husband who told his wife he loved her before his plane went down in a field. For the wife who stopped in the stairs to call her husband to say she will love him forever. For the mothers & fathers who kissed their kids goodbye that morning for the last time. For the policemen, firemen, & other rescue workers who rushed in to help others & lost their lives. For the soldiers who fought back & made the ultimate sacrifice. Today, tomorrow, years from now, we will remember.
