Ok i did speed bench today but i just did a workout starting with 10 reps. I was a little burned out, but i did ok for having a "bad day" at a commercial gym prior to this workout.

305 X 1
305 went halfway up on the second rep, but it came down on my stomach and i had to roll it down my stomach, and deadlift it back onto the rack. Not bad considering how bad my earlier workout was. I now have a bar mark on my stomach, but it was great. I hit a 305 bench after not being able to do 280 for 1 earlier. I think this is an ok start to this brand new training cycle. Im going to eat a **** load of protein bars, and be lazy and bulk up to about 200 lbs this weekend. No ****ing around anymore.

LOL! That **** ****ing hurt, but it was cool. Atleast i hit something in the 300 zone after having a real ****ty workout. I think i might actually do ok on this program, 340 is a possibility i feel. Im definitly going to get heavier to move these bigger weights cause at the weight i am now it makes it a bit more difficult.

Thanks Fullback, I have high hopes. Im going to try to get up to atleast 205 lbs bodyweight, with more weight comes more power. Yesterday was just one of those days that you have a realy ****ty session, everyone has them, and they pass. Yo hows the BFS coming along? Your doing real good from what i see.

Thanks bro. Well I dont know. I really like it because it feels good and its a routine that i like and all. But last bench day i could only do 225 5 times, thats it, plus that was on an empty stomach with halfa cup of oatmeal and a protein shake for breakfast that day. Squats this afternoon!!! Next week i get to max, and i cant wait!!!

Thats not bad, was it a 5 X 5 workout? Follow the set and reps exactly the way you see them. Also, lifting on an empty stomach isn't always good cause i did yesterday and i think that was one of the reasons why it was as bad as it was cause i had nothing in my tank. Eat a carb bar or drink a carb drink atleast a half hour before workouts, makes a big difference in energy. Get as many carbs as pissible, and add the oatmeal to your protein shakes, great tasting and with all the carb goodness you need.

Yea I had a driveing test, and woke up and had to eat that then had to go by my dads work then straight to the gym . I only did one set of 225 though, could only get 185 for 4, was hopeing for 235 for 5 that day. Live and learn.

It's cool bro, everybody has a bad day and i learned that through adversity builds character. Look at Mendelson, he had many failings in his meets and look at him now, he's the greatest. I want to do a compettition but i want higher than 330, and at the bodyweight im aiming for i know i will get killed by my compettition. Russian Bench Program Day 1
Current Max: 330 Flat Bench, 270 Incline Bench
Monday, 70 %
Flat Bench: 230 X 8, 3 Sets
Ok this was ****ing easy. Paused for 3 seconds on the last rep of each set. Then moved onto incline,
Incline Bench: 190 X 8, 3 Sets
First this was a ****ing breeze, and it all felt good. Each rep was clean, and solid with a slight pause on the bottom. Last rep needed a little assistance cause i got cocky with the pause :lol:.
Notes: All in all, great workout. Each set felt great and im having some good feelings about this program. Wednesday should be fun, although i think im going to keep incline weight the same this whole week.
