From the number of relationship problems I have studied, the root of it was the one who engaged in these acts such as number of previous relationships, pornography where the women specifically felt uncomfortable about it, masturbation again where the women felt that her partner was not satisfied and arguments started. Also engaging with other men/women and person felt there co-worker/classmate they had more in common with and were attracted to them instead of there 'whining girlfriend orwife at home.

I do agree with you vis a vis relationship problems generally being a matter of poor communication, insecurity, and "I can do better" syndrome.

Once you are get married ( living together ) if it gets to that point, is when things such as arguments, disagreements etc begin to appear. When you split (not to sound mean) give me the reason, I do some personal studies when i get time and it's fascinating.

It's not much about doing better but more of satisfaction, where cheating becomes beautified and your relationship with your spouse turns ugly.
