If I wanted to edit anything out, I wouldn't link to the original article. The ellipsis is a literary device used to unquote large blocks of text.
"Ellipsis (plural ellipses; from the Ancient Greek: ἔλλειψις, élleipsis, "omission" or "falling short") is a series of dots that usually indicate an intentional omission of a word, sentence or whole section from the original text being quoted, and though necessary for syntactical construction, is not necessary for comprehension"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellipsis
Just because people spasm at reading irrelevant material to an article. Donna doesn't say promiscuity leads to homosexuality, but neither does Makow. He says, and I quote:
Heteros are being turned into homosexuals in the sense that we cannot form a permanent bond with a member of the opposite sex. This is what sexual promiscuity does to people. When sex is monogamous, it serves as a glue between a man and woman. When it is promiscuous, it is the dynamite that blows them apart. This is the hell that homosexuals and all promiscuous people inhabit.
But none of that matters. You can hate makow and his personal views (nobody will defend him here). Stick to the actual topic and not trying to undermine the author. He's divorced 4 times by the way, that doesn't derail his points.*** There is no one free of all need, of whom all else are in absolute need, but God ***
Pbuh: If anyone testifies that None has the right to be worshipped but God Alone Who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His Servant and His Apostle, and that Jesus is God's Servant and His Apostle and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit created by Him, and that Paradise is true, and Hell is true, God will admit him into Paradise

Yes, now it's all Henry Makow's words, not Donna Freitas'. Nothing to do with what was in her book. Nowhere did she say that promiscuity led to homosexuality.
Henry Makow's words that started out like this (not shown in OP):
Young women today literally have been thrown to the wolves by the satanists, traitors and perverts -- the Illuminati (Masonic) Jewish cultural elite -- that killed traditional courtship.
Bizarre and incredible as it sounds, the world is run by a small clique of Cabalist Jewish bankers and Freemasons (the Illuminati) who want to enslave humanity. These people are Satanists. They invert what is healthy and natural by promoting sickness and dysfunction.

It always was his words, but he doesn't say that either.
Henry Makow's words that started out like this (not shown in OP):
And continued with (not in OP again):
I think instead of focusing on the topic, you'd like to walk away and discuss root causes. That's another interesting thread topic which you can call "who or what endorses promiscuity in society and why". But I think that's a wider scope than this thread.
And his message that promiscuity led to homosexuality is very intelligent?

Looking leads to acting if you have no self control and no moral compass.
I am perfectly capable of looking at a hot woman and saying "Dammnnn! She hot!" or fapping to some pron. I would never, ever dream of cheating on my GF.
If you can't look at a hot chick without fcking her, or can't fap to something other than your woman without deciding that leaving her is a good idea, the issue is with you, not the activity in question.*Type O Negative Crew*

I just wanted to make it clear to many who thought it was Donna who said all that. I wanted to make it clear they were Henry Makow the nutjob's words.
Arguing that Henry Makow's article and message are fantastic is definitely unintelligent.
My message is God has promoted a form of promiscuity by saying many wives, multiple sex slaves are permitted and encouraging it further with plenty of virgins being promised in paradise. Promiscuity has been made virtuous.
God also promoted homosexual behavior by not allowing men and women to intermingle. And that's been found to be true.Last edited by tuved; 03-14-2013 at 08:49 PM.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. To me, when someone explicitly permits promiscuity and homosexuality, that's what "promoting it" means. Promoting means facilitating and encouraging, as opposed to creating barriers and discouraging. I have a hard time making sense of your argument, which is trying to criticize religion for bashing/discouraging promiscuity and homosexuality but at the same time you're trying to argue that religious policies are actually promoting the same.
If you really believed that, then you should be happy with religion's attitude and policies, but we both know you are not, since this is an attempt at reverse psychology. Either you agree with it or you don't.*** There is no one free of all need, of whom all else are in absolute need, but God ***

Are you not attracted to your 'GF'?
Also is your relationship like marriage? you live together?
From the number of relationship problems I have studied, the root of it was the one who engaged in these acts such as number of previous relationships, pornography where the women specifically felt uncomfortable about it, masturbation again where the women felt that her partner was not satisfied and arguments started. Also engaging with other men/women and person felt there co-worker/classmate they had more in common with and were attracted to them instead of there 'whining girlfriend orwife at home.
You watched something that aroused you (in this case pornography) which led you to masturbating. The LOOKING you did at pornography made you ACT on it. Do you think you will be so self controlled when you are aroused with a women other than your wife or girlfriend that is attractive and attracted to you while your GF/Wife is not present? Your post of 'looking' and 'acting' on it says otherwise.
There are the rare exceptions. It is impossible to lay hands on that which is not predestined for us, and that which is predestined for us will reach us wherever we are.

Henry Makow's article is a stupid one to send a message that promiscuity "can lead" to homosexuality.
Next, if religion permits something it gets sanctioned by God and there's nothing wrong in what one does then!!
Next, religion has prevented men and women from mingling with each other, thereby promoting homosexual behavior for sexual release.

Don't live with her. I am attracted to her, and it is serious.
We have watched porn together and masturbated together. She doesn't care if I do it on my own, and vice versa.
If I watch porn and jerk off, it's because I want to look at a naked woman while I'm fapping. Nothing to do with not being attracted to my GF, or wanting to cheat on her.
Finding an attractive woman attractive also has nothing to do with my GF, it only has to do with my eyes functioning properly :-p.
We've both had sex with plenty of people previously, and neither of us care. I'm the only one that's having sex with her now, and vice versa.
I do agree with you vis a vis relationship problems generally being a matter of poor communication, insecurity, and "I can do better" syndrome.*Type O Negative Crew*

Once you are get married ( living together ) if it gets to that point, is when things such as arguments, disagreements etc begin to appear. When you split (not to sound mean) give me the reason, I do some personal studies when i get time and it's fascinating.
It's not much about doing better but more of satisfaction, where cheating becomes beautified and your relationship with your spouse turns ugly.It is impossible to lay hands on that which is not predestined for us, and that which is predestined for us will reach us wherever we are.

Interesting article posted in OP. I'll have to agree with most of it. Though I don't agree with the part of only finding a partner that has had max 2 of sexual partners. In an ideal world, we'd all fall in love with virgins and marry. Then you would live happily ever after, my GF has had 2 previous sexual partners and wasn't a virgin when we started dating. Things she now regrets because I am and sees what she can not give to me and squandered on others. Sex in general is an act that is suppose to be between only a married couple because it's an act of permanence and bonding that should be shared only between husband and wife. Essentialy these days people live with the mindset "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" It's a perverse mindset and ultimately disconnects the heart and forces sex to become a purely sexual act. But us not being animals (having morals, spirits, and souls) it destroys us internally.
The problem with pornography is so huge I can't even begin to go into detail about it, look up your brain on born etc. As far as health is concerned though, it's a problem with the heart. You may or may not believe you are hurting yourself by such actions but you mentally begin to seperate yourself from what sex really is, that which is a bond and a connection between another human being. The views expressed on this Web site/Weblog are mine alone and do not
necessarily reflect the views of my employer.

Not if it goes towards credibility. Or in this case, the lack thereof. Henry Makow is an embittered nutcase. A loon. In short, your stereotypical blogger.
Perhaps it does if you are an uncontrolled (or uncontrollable) barbarian. I am a civilised human being, of course, so I can only speak for others like me, so I will say this statement is fiction. I will leave the speaking for the barbarians to others more suited to the task.My personal pronouns are: Don't talk to me/Fck off
