    Thumbs up Jump higher

So right now I'd say I'm 5'9'' and I can tap the rim on a running jump. I really don't have much leg strength, so I think I can improve. When can I expect to start grabbing rim? And what are the best workouts for an increased vert?

Do explosive squats, go slow going down and then explode going up, same with leg press.

Jumping is all posterior chain strength hit the box squats and stiff leg dead lifts also do your lifts explosively

Do plyometrics, work on building muscle on your legs, and train your fast twitch muscle fibers.

I heard doing plyometrics and incorporating squats in the plyo routine gives excellent results. But getting really big gains from plyo requires some dedication, but if you need cardio in any form go for it.
