Wish I could be of better help, since I was born and raised in NYC. I just haven't lived there since the age of 17, but my family still resides there. As for supplements, honestly, you won't find anything cheaper then this site. NYC supplement shops charge a lot, for the same product and quantities you can find here. You don't have to take my word for it, but don't go to GNC. Even with the membership card your purchase will still add up to more than you'll pay on this site. For gyms, a good place that's cheap and have every equipment you need would be planet fitness. Don't mind their corny, and cheesy commercials because the gym facilities aren't bad.

I don't know if you still need help with this topic but Eva's at 11 W. 8th St. is a go-to place for bodybuilders in the Village. As for gyms, instead of Planet Fitness (though I personally don't have any problems with it), Blink Fitness at 40th & 3rd by Grand Central Station is a good gym, I go there myself. I'm no bodybuilder, just someone who enjoys working out and also looking for a workout partner. If you want to work out together, send me a message, I work out at night though.
