First off, sorry if this is a repost. About to take my kids school and won't be able post from phone. But was curious if this really happened. I was cruising ******** and came across this, and I read these forums pretty regular so surprised I missed it.

Agreed trinity , theres no need for people to HATE and they do it with a passion like he deserves it .. He has won MR.O twice , something that no one on these forums will probably ever win once , he has proven he is the best TWICE , common decency doesnt exist in todays society ... bunch of low life ****ing haters that have nothing better to do .
Much DESERVED respect to phil and any other pro bodybuilder , cant begin to think how much sweat , blood and tears they put into it day in and day out ...
what a pitty

I can kind of see it from both sides. What "dues" have been paid? Having great genetics, working hard, dieting hard, "supplementing". It might be just me but I mean boo freaking hoo. There are plenty of people that work just as hard and pay the same dues as phil heath. So I really don't feel bad for him in that respect.
On the other hand people have been hating so hard on how he spends his money, the stuff he has, even how expensive his wallet is...seriously WTF? We don't give two sh*ts if NFL players go broke why do we care if PHil Heath does or what he buys? Vince young just went bankrupt and spend 350K on his own bday party and nobody cares but for some reason people think heath is a scumbag for having a LV wallet?? I don't get it so I see where he is coming from there.

Agree on the hate part 100% no need for it.
but spend a day with top tier pro and you may change your mind on the other. There are MANY forum members working harder in the gym, working harder on their diet, than many top tier pro's. Not to mention many hold down full time jobs, aren't rich, and are raising families. Also...he won the MR. Olympia...not a super bowl...so let's not get too carried away here.
but yeah the pure hatred for dumb little things...no reason for it at all.

I agree that there are a few people on here that train just as hard and supplement just as hard. BUT, they are a step above that. Not that I am taking away from anyone on here that does, it's just if they did get to that level then they would have a Pro card.
But regardless, how Heath, Kai, Jay, RC or anyone for that matter spends their money it's no one's business. They earned it, they spend it.
Like I have said in the Misc before, people seem to hate on those who have achieved what they only dream of, or have what they wish they had. Instead of hating how about working on what is lacking within themselves to make it possible to be successful. Regardless of what that goal is.
If they spent the energy they expend on their negativity, hate and jealousy on positive ways to improve themselves, they to can achieve success.

yea its true, it was after this the Olympia tirade of Phil stepping over the line, the board went into a **** storm of threads bashing him and stating how he doesn't deserve it more than ia because he's a rich ****, among other things
here's his last post 2 weeks before the Olympia

The difficult thing is how to define hate. Constructive critiscism should ok and all part of it. We all have to deal with hate/critcism in real life, there is a fine line between hate and advice. I know where Phil is comming from as a 7 year member on BB.com I am considered by many as the GOAT poster in the IFBB section and have dealt with my fair share of haters and continually ownded them. The result is , I am a stronger poster for it and mentally tougher. Phil should know that some of the haters are so dumb that their opinions should not count.
On the other hand for example if Lee Haney or Yates or even Coleman started hating on Phil I would expect him to be much more pissed off but I do not think he needs to worry too much about the opinions of random posters.TEAM WOLF + TEAM KAI +TEAM CEDRIC + TEAM ROMGLE - TEAM RAMY - TEAM FAIR JUDGING

I wish he had stayed as having the current Mr O regularly posting would be great but I mean come on its the Internet. Your always gonna get trolls. I'd bet my life that the same people who were "hating" on Phil would act like a little girl meeting Justin Beiber if they met him in real life. So ye know, man up phil and come back here and just ignore those types of posts.

Similar to a post I just wrote....a good amount of the vitrol towards Phil had more to do with the biased commentary and "hands down" judging and no comment on his stepping over the white line...I'm sure if all of those were different yet Phil still won (admittedly close), then there wouldn't have been as much anger.
Either way, its quite rare that a pro in a sport comments on a forum...anyone else think that this would happen elsewhere? Nope.Frustrated at bodybuilding? Read my rant:

This^
I totally understand where he's coming from. Totally justified, and makes perfect sense. Take a look around this forum and website in general. Pretty much every thread is full of a bunch of keyboard warriors arguing over something totally silly. I love the occasional misc humor and have thrown out a Branch heckle or two in my time, but there's a line and it gets crossed way too often for anyone of his stature to take this board seriously.Lee Priest for President

Phil just had to cross the line, didn't he?
Just kidding. No more jokes. As a community, we call things out as we see fit. It has happened for years now. We have talked about who looks like this and that, what we agree and don't agree with, and our individual opinions.
We mentally got to him. Oh well. He was a great guy on the forums. Let him be.
