also, i know she will want a recoil pad on it. are most rifle recoil pads going to fit over the standard adjustable stock pad ? just slip on a generic? thinking just a limbsaver brand slip on.**Misc Cologne Crew**

Yes.
And you'll be able to shoot enough at a time to really get somewhere on training without being worn out, sore, and flinching
Some do, some do not (backstop can't handle it).
Also, indoor ranges aren't really the place to learn how to shoot a rifle, IMO, because there is almost never an option for a firing position other than standing or seated on the 'bench'
I highly recommend attending one of these events if you want to get started learning how to shoot a rifle

right, and what farley said as well, mosins have a hell of a muzzle blast and recoil
I wouldn't want one for my first and only
I thought that price they had them at before seemed too cheap to be true compared to every else at the moment************************MISC Firearms Crew*************************

I was unsure whether I should comment on this or not, but...oh well.
I couldn't help but to look at his previous posts...and holy s***, lol. That person has some deep seeded issues.
(just throwing this out there, he is from Australia...from what it looks like)
And is a pseudo-intellectual no less.
...
Who does a pretty shi**y job at that as well, now that I think about it.

Do I want to get up tomorrow to go to the range? I went the last two Saturdays, plus the indoor range one of the days in there too.
98% chance of rain, 46* F is the forecast.
Pros:
Fewer other people there
Easier to call cold and go downrange to check, mark, and post targets
Easier to do draw from the holster for time using my shot timer
In the real world it rains, to even pretend to call what you do legitimate training or practice you can't hide from the weather
Cons:
Drive an hour fifteen or more each way in the rain
Range is GA red clay without a lot of grass and probably gets really messy in the rain
Target holders use cardboard and only paper targets so they can get very hard to use when all wet
While any go-to gear ought to be able to get rained on, I bring stuff I don't want to get wet, like the shot timer, tools, etc. But the line IS covered, so should really be okay I think
