finished my hide-a closet with 2 cheap bookshelves. looks pretty chitty. the bookshelves are lower than the closet, so i put empty cardboard boxes on top of them to hide the gap LOL. looks legit. one bookcase is heavy, and stationary, the other i might grab some casters for and put them on, but i can just lift it and move it right now.

I went shooting down south last summer and some neckbeard was literally just mag-dumping while wearing his carrier with armor. I'm talking about $300 worth of ammo (pre-election) in twenty minutes. I was stupified.

yea that is what gets me. Apparently they are coating their plates with some rhino liner stuff to keep spalling to a minimum. Also have heard curved plates are better. Bola posted a plate carrier earlier that looked pretty good value. Some Pc's can be 300 bucks or more, just depends on what you want. I dono about the plates on ebay, would rather buy from the source if I could.

Some of those guys have real Aimpoints and Eotechs on their airsoft guns. Like Lawler said, they take it very seriously.

would never buy plates on ebay to be honest. never know what you are really getting. not worth the cost difference.

Michigan is a Shall-Issue CCW state, and open carry is legal without a permit. As of December 2012, the state no longer requires a permit to purchase a handgun, according to the NRA-ILA. There are no restrictions on MSRs or magazine capacity. Machine guns and suppressors are (newly) legal, but short-barreled rifles are not.

Michigan only ranks #33, but I think the laws here are pretty decent overall. Better than some states that rank higher, IMO. For me, things like NFA items are less of an issue than having no restrictions on MSR's, no waiting periods, no magazine restrictions, a decent Castle Doctrine, etc. You have to take a class to get a CCW, but only for the first time you get one and it's basically a no-brainer.

Not exactly sure about the 7 points in the MISC category. There are no restrictions on purchasing ammo online, lots of hunters, CCW reciprocity with most states, etc. The state has only recently loosened some restrictions, though, so that may be a part of it.

Took the Ar out to 50yards red dot no magnification, windage is a bit off



Then 100 yards no magnification, It was 20rds, all in the black except one that caught the edge of the target

So I went rifle shooting outside again. Unsupported field positions only. I took the Garand, which had not been fired or sighted in any way since mounting the Leupold 2.5x IER scope, and the 15-22. I decided to sight in and zero the Garand at 25 yards.

I almost couldn't believe it. It was dead on, basically perfect (near as I could tell firing from prone with only a sling for support), exactly the way it was. I never even took the turret caps off.

The left upper silhouette, 3 rounds, is Hornady 168gr match. 2 of the 3 rounds went basically through the same hole, dead freaking center. Bottom row is 35+ year old surplus ball ammo from the CMP, and the three on the upper middle silhouette are Armour Piercing (black tip)

I don't know what kind of wizardy this was, but I like it.
