It's sad that all it takes is a person who takes a course can read and regurgitate. Get's their certification and then they think they know everything. Despite all of their workouts coming from a Men's Fitness magazine where everyone is doing full body splits 3x a week and never seeing any improvement.

Then when you try and correct them they go off on how they are certified and took some course.

Lookin good brah, have you ever considered going on a hard bulk (ie, getting to 200?). Your strength gains would be insane with your current numbers. Good luck at the meet mane.

Gonna start strongman this summer, pretty pumped for it. Any others train with strongman stuff?

^^ On the lighter stuff you are much more aggresive with the hip lockout- this is good. On the last few reps of the heavy set you get a little tired and start trying to pull back instead of fire hips. Remember as soon as those hips lockout the lift is done. The faster your done the less energy it takes to do the lift.

yea I don't understand why later in my lifts I can't quite keep the same hip drive going. I guess they are just weak.

Im not so hot at lockout either. I try to be as fast off the floor as possible to overcome this. I also have weak hamstrings so hopefully hammering them will help with lockout as well.

I honestly have no interest in ever getting to 200lbs... My Ideal weight would be 175-185 at 8-10% bodyfat and keep it that way.. I am at 3200 cals just to BARELY gain weight at 166... maintaining 200lbs would be stupid amount of cals for me

It wouldnt take as much as you think to maintain 200. It would be insane to get to 200 though. I maintain at around 3500 at 265 ~20% bf.

I'm trying to get down to 260lbs for August or September. I'm currently at 296lbs just have to make sure I don't get lazy and fuuk up.

Also been sick all week which sucked because I've barely been able to lift. I did hit a 270lbs jerk way easier then expected but felt like I was going to die during the whole lift. Maybe next week when I'm not sick I'll attempt 315 if it's feeling good.

Yeah I split jerk the hardest thing for me was before my shoulder surgery I was always left foot forward and right foot back when I would go through the motion. Then a few weeks ago we were doing behind the neck split jerk and I couldn't hit anything. Then I decided to switch my foot drive to left back and right forward and what a change it made. I felt a whole lot better and my shoulder felt so much more stable. I easily hit 275lbs that day after switching form, I wanted to hit 315+ but my elbow gave me some serious issues so I wasn't able to lock anything out.

For the front jerk I've found that you need to be very aggressive on the drive and to get under the bar. I missed 260lb I was close so I decided to jump to 270lbs(great logic huh?) and when I hit it the bar flew I kinda surprised myself and my coach and was actually able to control and re-rack the bar rather then dump it.

Best thing for learning is just doing it and go slowly but it will add ton of explosion which could help you out in strongman.

Did 145kg triples when squatting tonight. Felt really good and easy, like I could have done sets of 5 with ease. Didn't tense my core as much in the past as I do now and finding things are feeling better and more efficient.

I want to see what a set wearing it looks like. Mirin the GoPro though - wish I had a reason to justify buying one. Chit always looks so good when captured by them. I'd even go as far as to say better than a lot of stuff shown on TV.

I run a hot shower and let the steam get that sh*t out. Of course that's mighty ghetto they way I'm doing it but if you have a humidifier set that up and breathe that humid air and let the phlegm fly.

I've been sick over a week now and I'm not happy about it.

Sup guys, don't post in here anywhere near as much as I should. I'm after a bit of advice, I injured my hamstring about 9 days ago doing SL deads, felt a definite 'pop' when I did it, about 6-7 inches above my knee. It doesn't feel like the injury's at the tendon, but I've got some pretty prominent bruising come up at the back of my knee below the injury. I can still walk & contract the muscle, it all feels intact, but is it worth going to the hospital (I hate hospitals) or just continue doing mobility & rehab work?

This, I always have to eat a ridiculous surplus to gain weight but then after I cut the calories back I only lose a few pounds and then stay fairly stable weight with a lot less food.

I'd get it checked out brah, sounds like something got damaged. Hopefully you have some health insurance.
