Been following Curcumin for the past 3 years, more and more studies are coming in, and I must say this sounds almost like a magical herb. Seems like it increase NO also... what say you brahs?

Just a few FYIs and caveats on the research presented here:
-beta-amyloid has since been distinguished as operative in Alzheimer's only as one or two structurally unique forms, so assaying the protein without chopping it up (prosaic way of saying "examine it using SDS-PAGE, electrophoresis, et cetera) isn't of any real tangible use.
-plasma nitric oxide is assayed as plasma nitrite, so keep that in mind if you're planning on cross-comparing this text with other similar hematology studies.
-generally curcumin and other largely alkyl substituted polyphenols have trouble getting themselves out of the blood and into the periphery, so not only does this data make great sense, but it translates well to other possible cardiovascular examinations of curcuminoids.Driven Sports

It's good stuff but still quite expensive to be a staple. I do take capsulated Turmeric daily though.

There were some significant inconsistencies with the related NO-data that was obtained in that study, so take it with a grain o' salt. Curcumin is an awesome compound even when considering it's inherent kinetic limitations, and I've been supplementing it for quite a few years.
Nonetheless, I've never noticed teh 'pumps' while using it, but it wouldn't surprise me if it does in fact elicit some degree of favorable results in the context of nitric oxide.~

The aformentioned study didn't really go into much detail reguarding NO, and they failed to even specify wether the assay was colorimetric/fluorometric, chemiluminescence, triiodide CLD, ect., nor did they mention sample preparation details so the accuracy of the data is anyone's guess.

Well you'd certainly know better than me, but from what I understand the presence of artificial NO products during sample prep has been suggested as being problematic within the literature, and it's been suggested that measuring plasma samples isn't necessarily an accurate assessment of whole body NO status [Bryan & Grisham 2007], and I've yet to see anthing from an anedotal standpoint that would suggest curcumin has any appreciable impact on vasodilation parameters, but I may have missed something.
