Not to go into too many details but since I started really lifting, as in with a set goal and heavier weights on a regular basis and a solid nutrition base, some things have happened that I wasn't prepared for.
1) Sex drive has gone through the roof. I'm 40 and my wife is 29. She is currently pregnant with our first child and she gets more attractive every day. As such I'm more "attracted" to her several times a week.
2) I have less tolerance for stupid/rude people. It's gotten to the point that someone will push past me in the grocery store (as in push their shoulder into me to walk by) and my response is a verbal statement and an aggressive step forward.
I've looked at my supplements a couple of times and have read the warnings over and over but there isn't anything written to suggest that there may be an increased amount of aggression or lack of tolerance for stupidity. Even did some web searches but nothing came up equating lifting with what's going on with me. I'm not a big guy, I'm not a rude/mean/meathead. I'm pretty tolerant and low key. Hell I've only ever been in 2 fights in my life..... now it seems I'm just looking for an excuse.
This is not something I like, this is not something I want to become a pattern. Is it just some off shoot of the self confidence that I feel from being a more fit person? Some stupid quirk of waiting until I was 40 to start working out? Am I high??

Does testosterone production "restart" in older men if we start working out?

As far as the aggression part, I can relate. I've always been one of those guys that steps down from the sidewalk or moves out of the way for others, even young kids. But I find myself not doing that anymore..and to my amazement, people step aside for me. Not saying that they won't before I took up serious BB, just kind of find it strange that the shoe is on the other foot. Oh..and a recent story to relate, I was in a club the other night, near the entrance..when this group of guys come in, mid 20's and one of them has his arms up in the air and starts yelling...yea, we're here, yea that's right, we're here. I couldn't believe what came out of my mouth next, I said in an equally loud voice, "yea, the a$$holes are here". Something I wouldn't have NEVER thought I'd say. He looked at me, up and down..and didn't say a word..walked away. Just so you know, I don't drink now..mostly for health reason, but also afraid in the back of my mind I may get more aggressive. My SO has also mentioned she has noticed a change in my personality.
As far as sex, M&F did a survey and it mentioned that men that took up BB have more partners and end up "stealing" other women away to a much higher percentage than joe six packs (that's not referring to their abs btw). So bottomline, I think you are normal.

Nothing too serious - the aggression could have any number of sources, but natural test production shouldn't be sufficient to cause you to suddenly leap out of your skin at the slightest transgression. In all likelihood, it's a combination of any number of things. Since you recognize it, you can stop yourself from going over the top. Just remember to see the signs, and breathe. The go to the gym, and squat 405!

I've been experiencing the same thing since I started lifting seriously OP, and I was wondering the same things. It's good to know that it's not just me that is experiencing these things.
No negative energy, I will mute ya

Could be the self confidence. I'm a newbie here starting my own training, but I've been doing martial arts for a year. It took awhile, but once the self confidence started showing I wasn't the same person I was before. I'm a big man..6'8" 285lbs but I've always been very meek and humble. But like you stated I've kind of started acting differently, not in a I'm looking for trouble way, more like a I'm not taking crap anymore way. I think it's the self confidence I've gained and not knowing how to handle it since I've been so meek in the past. Someone mentioned low t..I'm going to a urologist because the soldier is not standing at attention like he used too. I had my t checked a few years ago and the dr said it was fine. Is this something that they miss alot? What levels should an average guy be at. And can someone tell my rookie butt what OP means?

Well I wear bib overalls and a huge Carhart jacket all day at work (we're still below freezing up here, sometimes well below) so it's not from any visible size increase. I'm thinking its because I'm no longer really in the mood to take any crap from anyone. Ck mentioned being meek and humble, yeah that was me for as long as I can remember. The aggression is still there but I've got a handle on it. Did a quick eval of life around me and there are a few factors outside of my control that are driving me towards aggression. I'll not go into them on a public forum but I'm doing what I can to avoid being around those people/situations.

^This.
Generally speaking the more active you are (to a point) and the less bodyfat you have (again to a point) the higher your test levels will be.
I've lost about 40 pounds now (still working on it) and my starting testosterone levels were around 289 which is low by most standards and some MDs might prescrobe testosterone. I'm looking forward to getting restested here in about a month to see if my testosterone levels are up with my weight loss.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

I refer to this as IWGS (Intense White Guy Syndrome). Although not certainly limited to the white guys - I'm in Thailand, and the only guys who walk around like these, with their Bert Stares, and over the top attitude are the white guys. The Thais (even the ones on the Nat'l Bodybuilding Team), don't take themselves so seriously.
