Casein Protein - Good or Bad?

Spoke to a nutritionist in training who claimed that this stuff is bad for you.

Upon questioning, it seemed to be derived from an anti dairy bias.

I have not heard anything negative about the use of Casein... any insight on this?

Sounds about right. I have found that many people who themselves are lactose intolerant seem to be on an anti-milk crusade.

^^^This. That nutritionist is whacked and probably on some personal crusade as snorkel said. Casein is just another form of protein, which can be more satiating than whey due to slower absorption.

My daugther (4 years old) was having constipation problems... we tried rolling her off dairy, and other things, at the recommendation of hte nutritionist. Dairy was not seen to have ANY impact either way. My wife is also a pediatrician I should note, so she is able to understand a lot of these things. Despite seeing no benefit from being off dairy, the nutritionist still insisted we keep her off dairy.... why???

I don't drink Milk, eat a lot of cheese, etc. But I do whey/casein, some cottage cheese, and even on a rare occassion a splash of half and half in coffee... and I'm 10% body fat and dropping.... why the hate on dairy?!?!
