I hope there aren't too many of you miscers that play WoW. Although I've never played so I can't really judge, but most people I have met that play this game are social outcasts/ south park stereotype. (no hate) I am sure it is fun though.

There are a lot of over weight no life FA virgins playing this game. I went to a few LANs back in the day and mind=blown at the stereotype being true. Doesn't mean everyone who plays is though. I play with a few real life mates and we all have jobs, girlfriends, lives etc.

can confirm, played for 6-7 years throughout high school........ no regrets though, had a fukkin ton of fun

played when i was like 12-17 or something, had some of the best times of my life and have no regrets, wasn't even socially awkward or friendless... if they released WoW as a TBC version like they did with RS 2007 would pick it up again without thinking twice.

I've never played, can't access it on my uni internet, but in the thread people were saying wherever you go to level you will find other people, so it's not like you're playing a single player game or anything. Think someone said at the time they were on there were 25 others lving in duskwood

Part of the joy of vanilla WoW was that there wasn't 10000000 youtube videos and instruction manuals on how to beat each boss.. There weren't talent calculators and **** that people just read off of and spec'd their character based on 'pro players'... people made their own character, experimented with their own ways of defeating bosses and progressing through the game.

Even if a vanilla-like expansion came out, it still wouldn't be the same.

I miss Vanilla WoW. Of course with my luck as soon as I hit 60, the BC expansion came out. And then once I hit 70, the WOTLK expansion came out. Then inevitably the Cata expansion came out and I said fawk it and quit.

Good times though. It took up a lot of my time in High School but I don't have any regrets.
