Exclamation Is it possible to build muscle and get big whilst maintaining a low bf%?

I'm moderately new to the site and from what I've gathered (I'm probably wrong) it seems to be that you can either cut to lose bf, or you can gain muscle by bulking. My question is whether it's possible to still build muscle and put on lean body mass whilst achieving then maintaining a body fat under 10% and what would be required to do so? Thanks.

    Age old question

Not under 10% but is theoretically possible. You bulk by eating lots and filling your macros so that your body has the right ingredients and energy to repair and grow.
By not eating enough and staying lean, your body won't be getting the nutrients to do this.
It is technically possible to eat just enough so that your body has the perfect ingredients and energy and not any more excess, but well, good luck with that, with different daily tasks, energy expenditure, sleep times, food eaten, etc
"lmao you naive as **** son. Hope you followed the cardinal rule and didn't have your face in the dick pic, but based on the foolishness you've exhibited in your threads recently, you're probably like holding your dick with one hand and your social security card in the other and holding a piece of paper in your mouth with your name, address and phone number"

So say if you were on a solid low calorie diet and were maintaining a good workout schedule with required cardio, if you were to take a protein supplement so that your muscle's were not burned, would it then be possible to maintain a low bf% whilst still gaining lean mass?

You need to do some more reading. Protien isn't the only thing that matters. It's all about calories. You're cutting when you're at a calorie deficit , and you're bulking when you're at a calorie surplus. It is possible to stay pretty lean during a bulk, some people stay around 13% doing a clean bulk. You basically eat just the right amount like the above poster said.

When you say "low calorie," do you mean below maintenance? If so, you will not gain lbm. You need a surplus to gain muscle. Inevitably, you will gain some fat along with the lbm. The key is to minimize any fat gain. The best way to do that is to eat at a slight surplus and lift heavy. Shoot for like 1/4lb a week. It's a long process.

I'll look into it more and try to understand some of the concepts a bit better, cheers for the input though.
