Unhappy am i eating too little to lose weight?

The idea of starvation mode on the internet is too controversial, so i need some good advice here. Im a 23yo male, 5'10, 239lbs. I work out 6 days a week with strength and cardio, looking to lose inches. Id say i take in about 1200 to 1500 calories, but im not budging an inch on the scale over the last 2 months ive been back to the gym. ask if u want my supps list.
A weight loss calculator says i need about 2450 cals a day to effectively lose weight, nearly 1k more than usual. Im worried ill gain weight, also ive added extra protein shakes to up my cals and feel overfull and ****ty. I need the weight loss for my career and family asap. Was my low cals killing my metabolism? And will i gain from the increase? Seems counterproductive eating more.

Not really...it is pretty much a load of garbage

My guess is you are incorrectly counting calories...Your metabolism won't drop 50-60%.....

Drastic deficits over extended periods will negatively affect metabolism bur you still should have been losing weight. I suggest slowly moving back to maintenance then cruise around maintenance for a few weeks. Let your body reset then start a less drastic deficit.

If you are 239, eating 1200-1500 cals a day, and the scale hasn't moved in 2 months, then you are incorrectly tracking your calories or have some medical issue. Even with a tanked metabolism something should be happening.

i really dont know how i would be counting calories incorrectly, its not like its a hard process, I measure any meats i eat, i also measure servings of scoopables such as peanut butter or a type of dip for veggies, etc. So unless the calorie count on the packages of stuff like sandwich thin bread or whatever are incorrect i dont see an inconsistency between the food i eat and the calories im counting. especially when i write it down in my food journal/workout journal, which i add up with a calculator throughout the day. see what i mean? what medical conditions are we talking about? and what type of effect do they have? The only "diet" ive lost pounds on was BS and i gained it back, it was that "3 day military diet" that has you eat **** like... an apple and a boiled egg for bfast and no snacks.. but i gave that **** up a while ago. id lose like 3 or 4 lbs and gain it back over the 4 day break.
