    ★TRAINING★

Get ready for this. Ahem- I made it for a 6am workout this morning. Wow that hasn't happened in months. I woke up at 5:45 just a bit sleepy but full of enough energy to pop out of bed before I could change my mind. The gym was completely empty. Just some random stragglers and a few trainers with their clients. I did 15 minutes of HIIT on bike. 5 minute warm up, 1 minute on level 15, 2 minutes on level 7 and fooled around with chest and shoulders. Did drop sets on bench press starting with 20 reps, going all the way down to 6 reps (70lbs). I tried at that point to do 1 rep at 95 but I couldn't get it up. Meg on the other hand.. after blasting out 60+ reps, did 1 rep at 135.

    ★FOOD★

I can tell the system wants more food already after walking around so much this weekend plus this mornings workout. I'm gonna really need to get down a lot of water to mitigate some of these hunger pangs.

    ★THOUGHTS★

Feels really good to be done with training already. Now I don't have to go home at night at debate for 20 minutes whether I'm making it in for a workout.
Also, this morning i've experienced only for the 2nd time, asparagus pee. Omg, it's so disgusting. Any other asparagus pee-ers out there?

Had a random craving to try Quest bars so I picked up strawberry cheesecake, cinnamon roll and pb&j earlier today. I wasn't impressed at all but that might just be because i'm used to bars with more flavor/added ingredients. It's probably a pretty decent bar for being one of the 'healthier' ones.

Ate about 2160 today which i'd imagine is close to maintenance on a day when lifting. 1000 of those cals came from below tuna salad

Excited to get to the gym early again tomorrow!

    MP/FRONT SQUAT

WORKOUT: Nothing like a saturday afternoon workout; half the city is still sleeping off their friday night hangover. Really enjoying the simplicity and quickness of RPT training. Topset for MP was 65, but who cares about boring military presses. Front squats are where it's at and thats where i'm excited to grow from. Tried to go all evil kenevil and do suicides after lifting but my legs were like helllno.

    FOOD:

    Good ol' SWEET TOMATOES

    REST

Cousins have been in town since Friday before they take on a 20 hour road trip up north to PA. Fooled around on jet skis for a couple of hours. I let a cousin drive my ski and in attempts to splash others, he spilled me right into the gulf. Srs will retain 15 pounds from all salt water consumed.

FOOD: I've got huge meat and bacon issues {read: i fucking love bacon}. Hey no bun though!

Ahoy my little lurkers. Put down the 5 hour energy and let my post get you through the 2pm sleepies at work

    CHINS/DIPS

DAMAGE CONTROL: Front squats oh why do you do what you do to me. Shit, it was so painful to wake up today. Tender from the tush to the medialis. Even though workout at 6am would've been upper body I begged myself for more lower body rest. You know, when the alarm goes off that early you better not hit snooze even just once or even THINK about just what one more minute of sleep would feel like. If you don't rip the covers off and throw workout clothes on right away you're not going!

    On lunch break today:

Did 69% of my body weight on chins. Top set of 4 reps. Next chins session I try to get anywhere between 4-8 and when I finally hit 8, then I can slowly increase weight. Maybe in a month I can do full body weight chin ?! HMmmm. Oh I definitely feel the presence of my lats these days even when walking/stretching.

Dips were nothing too special. Able to get 106lbs for 9 reps. Again, once I hit 12 reps on that weight, I'll bump it up.

    FOOD

    1865 hi carb; low fat

Ended fasting at 11:30a with a serving of godly salt n vinegar chips and my signature bacon egg ketch mayo breakfast wrap. WIll have ~ 1100 cals to eat for the rest of the night. What to doo? steak & mash? homemade pizza pizza? No burgers, i'm burgered out. I'll still do bacon though. Any favorite recipes?

    DL/Bench press

WORKOUT: 145x6 on the DL, 85x7 on bench

DAMAGE CONTROL: No soreness. Feeling well rested, probably from the 2300 cals i put down yesterday.

FOOD: 2,332 cals; carb, fat, protein - yummm. Broke fast @ 11 AM. Put down 1500 between 1-4pm mostly from a detour of the day that led me directly to the chick fil-a drive thru window. Those waffle fries are crack. No pics to show for any of my meals yesterday, sorry i ate it all too fast.

    ★ MP/ FRONT SQUAT ★

Damage: Still nothing! Will not be lifting tomorrow cause new softball season starts 9pm and now would be good time for active rest.

Food: 2400 cals. I've been ravenous these past few days and adding the HIIT in today sure didn't help but it's been doing wonders for recovery.

Outback 9oz sirloin, plain mashed, fries, asparagus (loaf brown bread not shown)

because this is what my fridge looks like..

Had a great night at softball. Humid as all hell but it felt good to get really sweaty. Weight is down a bit even being 2 days out from PeRiOd. oo la la. Even had another outback steak w/ asparagus last night. Chins/dips/HIIT either during lunch or after work. Happy friday, happy payday.

    CHINS/DIP

PR-PR-PR reps on chins, & PR-PR-PR reps on dips too even though i had no desire to be at the gym 8pm friday night

HIIT was 4 rounds; 25 seconds on level 15/ 2 min rest on level 7.

FOOD: ~2500 cals, 118g yummy i love u cant get enough of you FATS --- protein bar, small boneless spare ribs, 2 cups white rice, laaate night wendys! rice krispie treat!! pringles!!!

    6/15/13

    down another 1/2 pounder

    BENCH PRESS/ DL

bench went nicely, had a 16 yr old boy spot me for a set. I've felt better progress over these past 2 weeks on that lift than I have for years. Moved up 5lbs on deadlift which makes me 7 pounders away from doing my bodyweight x 5.

FOOD: 1850; low fat high carb

publix rotisserie chicken, potato wedges & potatoes

this is the jackpot guys- you can't make this stuff up..

Weight shot up to 160.5 and an hour after that weigh in, i got my period. BUT - ended up snapping a few pics to show myself and some of you to still take that scale number lightly. even when it tells you wow you're so much heavier this morning. MInd you, this is progress after many random days of dirty delicious eating

    Front Squat/MP

PR +2 reps on front squat, but i've got some explaining to do with seated MP. Due to lack of power rack in last week's workout, i had to use smith machine. Ok, bar is 15lbs lets say, so i loaded up 50lbs of plates so i was pressing 65lbs for 9 reps. Yesterday power rack was all mine, load up the bar so i'm pressing 65lbs for.. for.. 3 reps?? Had to go down to 55lbs to get same reps. Moral story: smith machine used only in times of desperation!

Shazam Bam Thank You Maam !

Surprise! Pics are posted in this here journal - wow
Look at the difference - you can see it in your legs, stomach area and lats which have definition

I also love the reversal of scale weight and the definition change that accompanied it. Incredible
Seems your dirty eating with a side of lifting is doing you wonders, kid

    *thumbs up*
Right now it doesn't matter what the results will be.

Awesome progress and a true testament to not worrying about a predetermined number on the scale.

    6/20/13

Weight dropped 4 pounders overnight [and that weigh in was pre-coffee/bathroom], so since our intestines can hold up to 10#s of p00p according to @Boomer29, if i had to take an educated broscience guess, i clearly dropped like, 12lbs in total.

    Anyway --->

    CHINS/DIPS

PR's on both chins and dips, but that's the name of the game. One rep away from moving past 100lbs on chins and already PR'd past 106lb on dips. When I was done with both, I tried to chin up my bodyweight for sits & giggles. Lots of giggles.

FOOD: it's been varying a lot this week. I've had some really busy days at work which suppresses my appetite tons. Fridge still looks the same as that pic from weeks ago, so i've been buying out (ie: sweet & smokey ribs from Sonny's last night )

Bench/DL at lunch today?? and then double header softball. I already have 6 mosquito bites from this hot humid summer weather and am at their mercy tonight on softball fields. Not going to be able to shave my legs until winter.

Monday already? geez. Weekend was a mumble jumble of various activities:

Saturday Morning: Hour tennis lesson in which my forehand/backhand are greatly improving.
Saturday afternoon: Gym for some BP& DL. Wasn't really feeling it, which actually showed in my lifts. Only pressed 85lbs for 6 reps compared to last session of 9 reps. Didn't wanna do DL's either so i did my favorite back extensions
Sunday Morning: Chins. Guess what. Back is still going up! Now pulling over 100lbs and what used to be one of my weakest body parts is surely becoming one of my strongest.

More tennis tonight, beach run tomorrow, softball Thursday.

I leave you with a new oatmeal brand I bought this weekend. The whole box costs only $1.28 at target. First taste test was the maple brown sugar (thumbs up) and this morning i'll try cinnamon roll.

I see you too have gone MIA.

    Man...

I mean, this is crap. I am throwing a bit of an adult hissy fit, because I don't like it.

I think of you often. Usually at random times, like when I see a fedora

And well, hello, hi, how are ya?!

Well, it would be just soooo un-slobey like if I hadn't taken ANOTHER 4 month hiatus and returned back to bb.com for some journaling <muahahhaha>

So... here I am. I have no idea whats gonna spew outta this mouth onto the keyboard but I guess you'll just have to wait and find out.

Ok frands, time to get right to the dirty dirty..

    DAMAGE CONTROL
I need to get better at taking BCAA's and supplements. I'm 27 heading onto 28 and I wake up in the morning 3/4 of the time in horrible pain below the belt. Hip flexors, knees, IT band, shins, calvles, ankles, feet.. all throbbing, all slowly dying inside. We recently had an usual 3 day straight rain period and I gritted my teeth every AM to get out of bed and to move. With that being said, yes my whole lower body still sucks.

    MP/FRONT SQUAT!

Hit 65lbs for 8 on the presses. Right shoulder started burning a lot sooner than left which makes me believe i'm overcompensating and using that one more. Got 60x 8 on front squat, ass to grass for suuuure, working on fully engagement hips, heels and any other body part that starts with an H.

15 minutes upright bike + oblique work

    FOOD

I haven't counted macros in mad long. I leave that to excel. I can't decide if i wanna start doing that or just paleo or paleo + macro counting. Had an amaz-zinggg 93/7 ground beefy cheesey gluten free wrap burrito post w/o. Will enjoy some ribs for SB sunday (best holiday ever). Seahawks FTW.
