    Marshall28 Unleashes the Beast within.......

    What up everyone! I will get straight to the point. I am an ex BB'er (never competed) who is now fallen in love with PL. I plan to bust my a** and give it everything I got.

    Here is a video of my 1st unsanctioned meet:



    Overall I was very happy with the 1,225 but honestly I feel I had 1,300. I was a bit unlucky on my final deadlift and I really didn't account for the added spring with the knee wraps on squats. Next time

    If all goes well I will be doing the UPA meet on July 20-21, 2013 in Dubuque, IA. Goal will be at least hit 1,300 @ the 198 class even tho I was only 188. Not sure I want to dip down to the 181 or just bulk up and stay at the 198.

    This log really won't get going till this weekend most likely but I just wanted to get some thing up!

    Just for a reference point here are my numbers as of today :

    Current gym PR's / Meet PR's
    Squat-- 400/405
    Bench-- 315/300
    Deadlift-- 545/520

    End of 2013 goals
    Squat - 470
    Bench - 330
    Deadlift - 600
    Total = 1,400

    Most strength programs will have less frequency as hitting heavy loads will be harder are you then a typical program. Strength is hard to gain without adequate rest.

    I would piggy back this. It's going to hard to really gain some good strength lifting 6 days even bro. I know you love being in the gym but sometimes more is not always better in the chase for strength.

    I am a classic overtrainer so the concept is hard for me to make sense off. My other opinion is to run Macenko for bench, and the Russian peaking program for squat and deads. I know dbone speaks highly of those programs.
