How long should it take for considerable results when working out

I've been working out for about 6 monthes now. I've gotten a fairly nice body, but it's not as ripped as i'd like it to be. Should i have seen better results by now? Details: I'm a pretty skinny guy, I workout every other day. and i've been drinking a protein supplement on the days i workout

Working out is about 70% what you eat and like 30% of the work you do. Eating is everything man, you will see great results if you go on a good bulk.

If you honestly feel like you have a good workout plan, are working hard, eating right, and getting rest, then you should be proud of what you have and are achieving! Gaining muscle takes time, and years, so don't expect to get that Arnold status after six months!

If getting ripped only took six months, the whole world would be ripped, Rome wasn't built in a day!

Depends on your goal, If your wanting huge bodybuilder its usually around 10 years. Less for model/figure because they are not building as much.

It all depends on the goal. your 155, if your wanting to get to 200 with good weight, maybe 3 years or so?

If you're just starting out, 6 months should be plenty of time to see significant results. With out pics we cant judge your progress, but if you aren't happy then something needs to change. What's your workout routine? Do you count your macros and reach them daily? Consuming one protein shake post workout alone will not build muscle, training with progressive overload and eating at a caloric surplus with hitting your macros will.
