Hello All,
I admire all of you and your dedication to bodybuilding. It is definitely tough and only for people who are strong inside and out. Hopefully I can get there one day. I just started lifting weight in the beginning of January (before I did only cardio). I want more muscle definition, lower body fat and increased strength, a fitness physique. I think I may be eating too little. I am 29 years old, 5'5', and my weight is around 123-125. I believe my body fat is 19%
I eat around 1700-1800 calories a day, and try to have around my body weight in protein. I do an hour of weights (I'm a beginner so I am slower at it and more rest time), plus 30 min of cardio 5 days a week. Should I be eating more since I am doing weight lifting and cardio?
Can someone modify my diet? Here are the questions I have:
How many calories should I be eating a day?
What about off days from exercise or a cheat meal?
How much protein/carbs/fat should my daily meal plan contain?
What does a cheat meal consist of (I may need to tone it down a bit)?
What is a realistic time frame to reach my goals?
Sorry for the numerous questions. If anyone has any recommendations for books, I would love to pick one up to further educate myself.
