Is there a way a misc doctor could make money...
..online?
I am a graduate. (Different degrees here, I'm an MBBS, same as the European system, different from the US system, I would be the US equivalent of a General Practitioner) Took a break from work for a few months because I am peppering for an exam. Looking to generate some mealy income while I am at home.
I could :
- Give advice on symptoms, make a differential diagnosis
- Give advice on drugs, possible side effects, alternatives
- Write articles on anything health related really
- Interpret and advice on lab reports- Haematology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Histology, Microbiology reports, ECGs etc
- I have a dermatologist and an Internal Medicine specialist in the family so I can consult them if needed
Any miscer willing to team up (have me write articles for their website or something) or have any other ideas on where to provide my services?
I did create a gig on fiverr a while back, and I do get a couple gigs every other day, but it's erratic and I have no idea how to advertise it.

In the boot.
Why online? Isn't face to face interaction an important part of being a medical professional?
Take your resume to a few General Practices and see if they can let you tool around for 1-3 hrs/day. Possibly study during downtime?

You would be severely limited in your ability to practice. You'd only be doing these patients a disservice by giving them subpar service since you can't physically exam them and properly counsel them. You could only provide basic advice and refer them to their PCP
You sure you graduated med school? Should be smarter than this bruh

There can be legal ramifications, both civil and criminal, in some jurisdictions as it could be deemed practicing medicine without proper licensure.

Just once, or were there other episodes?
Color of blood? Bright red= came from the anus or rectum, Dark red= more proximal, Black sticky tarry= somewhere in the small intestine
Was it just covering the surface? Any other symptoms? Indigestion, abdominal pain? Loss of appetite? Any recent weight fluctuations?

For the last 6 months I was doing a similar job to what you mentioned, but I now have to travel frequently and adjusting the rosters for duties gets tiring and complicated. This off time is only for 4-5 months. I am not looking for a lot of money. Just something to do on the side.

I am not looking to do practice online, should have made that clear in the OP. I will try to make it clear that I won't be making anything like a diagnosis and there is no substitute to proper examination AT ALL. It's just kind of a Q&A, where I can answer people's queries. For example when I was on fiverr, one buyer wanted to be explained the mechanism of a stroke that his mother had suffered, another wanted an article written (on diabetes) for his website, yet another wanted me to explain side effects of a drug, one wanted me to read a routine blood report, one wanted me to explain a disease that she was incorporating in a fictional work of hers and so on.
