That's why I'm going with a rack built by Rae Crowther. They offer a lot of options on their racks and the prices are all laid out. Not sure why they are rarely mentioned here.

I think it's because the racks cost 4K Rae Crowther is lovingly discussed in the "money is no object" thread. How much was yours after shipping, if you don't mind me asking?

You know I'm sure about the full cage, my half rack was only 3K. Not bad for something that's going to last me a lifetime.

what gauge is 4mm?
my 2x2 4mm thick rack feels completly solid, and i always smash the bar on the uprights before racking and it doesnt even have a bottom brace.

that's cause it's 9gauge steel (according to this chart) !
