Hi All,
Just thought Id share my progress pics of 1 year. Got a long way to go but happy so far.
Quick story is I stopped working out for 5 years, and got back into it this January. At first I thought I would just go and do cardio a few times a week but before yuu know it I was back in love with the weights. So first pic on the left was me about 200 lbs in march 2012 and the second pic is me at roughly 166.

Only 34 lbs difference? It looks a lot more than that! You must have added a good amount muscle. Congrats!

Thank you so much guys. Basically, I started working out again in late January 2013, just doing mild cardio etc. I would say I got serious about weights in mid February. I ran myself into the ground the first 5 months, doing 2 bodyparts a day, cardio 4-5 days a wek and eating no carbs. After doing that for 5 months I started to get burnt out, didnt have anywhere to go calorie wise since I had minimized my caloric intake so much so my wight loss had staled (lost around 19 at this point...213 down to 194). I then got with 3dmusclejourney and hired them to coach me. My primary coach is Alberto Nunez. He set me up with a weight training plan and started my macros at 200p/225c/50 fat with a once a week refeed of 190p/300c/40f. We ran this for awhile and then dropped carbs on all days by 25. We ran this way for several months. Each week the weight would come off...it was a long slow cut and it really seemed to do wonders. Towards the end we did a small bump up in carbs, then a drop back down and then we hit our goal of 165. We are now focusing on a muscle gaining phase and I am at 200p/325c/70f with a once a week refeed of 190p/400c/70f.
Cardio was and continues to be 1200 calories a day. I get this by doing two 500 kcal sessions and one 200kcal session.
So thats how its been so far and its been awesome!

Absolutely 100% worth it. Here is my list of why:
1. Investing in a natural bodybuilding pro with a proven track record of success with a multitude of athletes from all typed of different background.
2. The particular coaching team I chose is made up of four coaches. You are assigned a primary coach but have all 4 coaches as your resources.
3. You colloborate with other clients (teamates)...makes for an awesome and inspirational community.
4.Here is the big one...for me, I worked out for years...before my massive fat boy stage in the pic above. I would never quite know when to cut, how to do it right, when to go on againing phase, how to do it right, how many calories, what source, how should I train, etc etc etc. Getting a seasoned coach took all the guess work out of it...here I have coach who takes the time to understand and analyze my progress, and make adjustments based on my weekly progress.
5. Also holds me accountable, I have to report in each week.
6. Gained an awesome friend and mentor in my coach.
Definitely worth it and am loving it.
