I do actually believe that fat gain can't occur in a deficit. (however muscle loss could, thereby increasing fat to lean mass percentage)

It will just take time for people people following IIFYM to become coaches and deal with 1000 of clients over years till they can say, "see, it works"

Look around you. There's so few people that have managed 5y @ 4/week that I doubt you could round up enough in one area to even begin to have a sample group big enough.

im sure what he means is: The facts that are being thrown around are relative, they are not laws. To even begin to claim "fact," as a universal truth, digs itself in a hole, as there are always variables that fall outside of those facts. If you run into a "client" that falls outside of those "facts," what then?

The point is, all these "facts" are simply well crafted theories that are subject to change if new information refutes them and changes them.
