As much as I think Ced is the next big thing and he will most likely dethrone Heath (which I'll be damn happy about) i don't see Ced beating Dexter now at this point. Dex is just hitting a very impressive stride and i believe his conditioning will be one of the best we've seen much like at the masters.
thanks for posting opee!

Cheers!
I'm tired of Charles Glass.. He's always hyping his athletes no matter what condition they're in. I would want my coach to be honest. Never seen a video with Charles that brought something new to the BB table. Just not very exciting workouts. On another note, you cant really not be impressed with good ole' Dex. He's been a pro for 20(!!!) years and is always getting better. Most bodybuilders seem to have a life span around 5-10 years before something drastic happens to their physique or they just fall out of the radar. Might have something to do with Dexter keeping a slow and steady pace and not trying to add huge amount of LBM every year. My money is on The Blade this AC

thanks for the update tkd! i'm really exited to see dexter at the ac!
edit: i will never get why he or anyone else does the suicide grip. i mean all it takes is one slip and that's it. i'v tried it before and it does feel better for some reason but to me it isn't worth risking a potentially serious injury .Last edited by Ajthemeso; 02-24-2013 at 05:08 AM.

Powerlifting is different though. Vast amounts of weight being moved relative to bodyweight. I dont see much difference between the grips really. If the bar slips its because of bad positioning or grip. I always chalk up on heavy sets of presses anyway, but even without the chalk ive never felt any danger of slipping.

Dex looks like he's really pushing it in the gym this time around.
"I've walked across the surface of the sun, seen events so tiny and so fast that they hardly can be said to have occurred at all. But you, Adrian...are just a man. And the world's smartest man poses no greater threat to me than does its smartest termite."

This!
If I remember correctly, Charles Glass said the same things in some MD video about Dex for the Arnold 2012. That, Dex is at his best, even better than the Masters etc etc, and at the Arnold he was far from his best and took 5th. Just like now, it was right after Dex's win at the Masters O in Dec 2011, where btw, he looked maybe as good as his this past Masters O edition.
Here's the link on the MD gallery from Masters O 2011,
htt*p://pics.musculardevelopment.com/index.php?mode=browse&id=1874&eventcode=1496&page= 1
(same thing with the * in http..)
I'd post some comparisons If I could.

i don't think anyone disagrees that this is dex's competition to lose.
he's a legend in his own right, former O winner, and some of THE best lines ever to grace a stage.
at this point dex will individually look better than ced, but could lose on overall comparative size if ced brings his best.
IOW, dex is the safe bet...ced is the potential bet.
lastly, let me just say should dex lose to ced, i wouldn't see it as a black eye on dex's resume, but rather a milestone in achievement by ced. conversely, should ced lose to dex, neither looks bad and the status quo is maintained. the only way someone is walking away worse off is if any of the top guys BLOW their prep and show up sloppy (always a chance).
ON THAT NOTE: i can't wait for the AC this year!!!!!! i LOVE this lineup.___________________________________________________________
from 6th to 3rd ...and on to 1st?

me. i like dex and cedric but i just want dexter to leave something like a tying or beating flex's record before he retires. i want him going out as a winner; winning the rest of his shows and going out on a good note. i know that's probably wishful thinking but i can't help it.

People complaining about Charles Glass hyping his athletes up, huh? I agree with what you guys are saying, I'd want my coach to be honest about what I look like yeah, but I'd only want him to be completely honest behind closed doors with me and me alone. I wouldn't want him to come out on an online video or whilst others are around and be like, oh yeah, he's behind a few weeks on conditioning, don't know if he's going to dial it in, he's got out of proportion arms etc.
