I will be competing in my first PL'ing meet in June and will be ordering a new belt this week. I am looking at the Inzer Forever series and have been recommended both 10mm and 13mm thickness. I am leaning towards a 10mm as I've been told they are a bit more comfortable and don't take as long to get broken in.
Does anyone have experience in if either one has advantage over the other? Also, I'm debating the buckle version for simplicity but no real preference there. Any suggestions on if the buckle is better/worse than double prong, I would appreciate advice there too. Thanks.

I own both and id strongly recommend the 10mm. if you get black you should get it within a week to. I got the double prong in both the 10mm and 13 mm ive never used the lever one so I cant really say anything on that. the prongs are no issue for me with the 10mm and I love it. break in time for the 10mm was probably a week? I was comfortable using it fast to. I never got comfortable with the 13mm it just sits in my room

The 10mm is my personal preference, I see no additional benefit to the 13mm.
I think the lever belt is vastly superior to either single/double prong (ease of getting the belt tight and loose, with just a flick of the lever) but some people prefer a prong belt since it's easier to adjust. It only takes me a minute to adjust my lever and honestly once I set it, I've never really needed to adjust it.
BTW I see you said "first" belt.... You're never going to need another, IMO. You couldn't "wear out" an Inzer belt if you tried, lol. Whatever you buy will most likely last your entire training career.BlueCollarBarbell.com - Long Island Powerlifting - CAN'T FAKE STRENGTH!

I use the inzer 10mm 1 prong and i love it. I lift raw and I have a flat stomach so the 13mm makes me feel like i'm getting bear hugged when its tight.
As for the prongs or lever I would say it depends on your preferences. I fluctuate weight at times and I am too lazy to want to adjust the lever on levers belt so i use prongs.

13mm belts provide more carryover once you get used to them. For a competitive powerlifter, I see no reason to sacrifice carryover for comfort. Yes, they do take longer to break in and, yes, they are far less comfortable. Are you buying a belt for comfort or performance? If you're just a gym rat, go for 10mm. If you're competing, go for 13mm.
The advantage of a single prong belt over a lever belt is the adjustability. Do you like to wear a belt at different tightnesses for warmups vs. work sets? How about different tightnesses for specific lifts? Well, that isn't really going to happen with a lever belt unless you bring a coin/tools to the gym to adjust the belt between sets and exercises. This is a major pain in the ass.
On the other hand, you can more easily get a lever belt tighter than a single prong belt. The buckle doesn't stick out as far and doesn't tend to mess with people's deadlift setups as much. Although, you can always wear the belt backwards with either style belt. The main advantage of the lever belt, IMO, is for geared lifters. The lever allows them to quickly and easily remove the belt without wasting valuable time and energy when they're already fighting a suit and wraps.
For a raw lifter, I actually prefer a prong belt. Don't see the need for a lever personally. Not only is it more expensive, but the limited adjustability pissed me off.

I use the 13mm lever. If you are competing I'd go with the 13.
As far as lever versus prong both have advantages. I like the ability to lock in the belt and loosen it quickly via the lever however the prong is better if your waist size goes up and down. If you go with a prong go single as double can be a pain to tighten and loosen if you wear it very tight.Free Agent
