seriously looks the same as ps3 except more crumbling stuff
unless this happens to be real in game engine but i doubt it

That's not a cinematic, games already released are capable of that and more already. The specs in terms of what is out there is not technically "brand new" stuff. However, the point of a console is the consistency of the components, and that over time game engines will be able to use the hardware more efficiently and produce better effects. Look at the first games for 360, and the ones released 4 years later, dramatic change in capability

You can't tell improved resolution from the videos (which are taken in 720p max). Thats the most important thing. Also go back and play the past console launch games, Perfect Dark Zero and Resistance look terrible lmao. As long as the console looks powerful enough to make great games in the future I will buy one (srs). Which it does so far from the 8 gb DDR5 announced.

Good point, but still, the immediate difference between the ps1 and ps2 was pretty big and noticeable from the very first games released for ps2, as well as the immediate difference between ps2 and ps3. You could clearly see the large jump in quality made with the new generation systems right off the bat. The immediate difference between ps3 and ps4 though is barely noticeable however.

I think we've been spoiled by the graphics improvements the last few generations. PS1 was the first console to create functionable 3D graphics. PS2 improved greatly on that. PS3 was the first console to create HD 1080p 3D graphics. What is PS4 the first to create? Nothing.
They did however show the increase in polygons in game characters. PS4 will have 30,000 polygons (at least at launch). A PS3 game from 2012 was able to handle 20,000 polygons.

Well when ps1 went to ps2, you were looking at a near quadrupling++ of polygon rendering. Making a pyramid into a sphere is very noticeable, however making that sphere into a smoother sphere is not.
At this point, noticeable polygon increase is almost impossible. The new technology involves physics engines and increased texture resolution for the most part, as well as quirky things like focus/motion blurring and advanced specular/bump mapping."ive seen you around a few times. something is wrong with you. srs." -Joshua91

PC Gamers are just frustrated at the state of gaming. Most of the newer games get put to console, and PC gets left behind even though it truly is years ahead of even the unreleased consoles. We've been eating siht for years while you console users toy around with primitive technology using crappy-imprecise controllers, leave us be
