False. At most it's comparable to France cuisine. France is surrounded by all geographical influences, from the south there's the med sea, west the atlantic, etc. they have the most flavor all year round

i will say though, some of the best seafood i've ever had in my life was eaten in spain. both barca and san sebastian.

i live in europe and i am not a "yank". i have also been to paris more times than i can remember. i have been to pretty much every major city in europe and, being a guy that likes food, make it a point to go to the best restaurants. my opinion is that spain is definitely up there as one of the best. england, despite having lousy local ingredients, has some very high end chefs that have given its cuisine a lot to show for. unfortunately, due to the lack of gret local ingredients, you can not compare england to spain, italy, or france.
