    Multi-vitamin at my age thoughts?

    Now i know multi-vitamins is just vitamins but do you think i need them or is it not needed, i eat alot of vegatables, fruit take magnesium powder alot of stuff but would it help? Usefull thoughts would be appreciated, just turning sixteen on sunday.

    I was at the gym with my friend who was getting his personal training session and he is 16 too and his trainer told him the only thing he needs is a good whey protein and multi vitamin

    there's actually a lot of useless crap in many multivitamins
    and some often have ingredients that can be toxic at not much higher doses

    So some multivitamins + certain diet, can lead to significant side effects

    This is all true.

    You have already said that you eat a lot of fruit and veg, therefore you do not need more, you will either excrete excess vits through pissing, they will become liver toxic, or they will interfere with other vitamins and minerals

    I will bet any amount of money his PT did one of those 2 week courses and became 'certified'

    Idk how useful they are, I just take them and fish oil. I don't really notice any difference when I take them and when I don't buy whatever.

    yea you're right at high doses it can cause serious side effects.

    A multi is good for almost anyone in all honesty, make sure your picking up a quality multi though otherwise you will just piss out most of it majority of the time.

    Just my 2c but Orange triad is a great multi and lots of people can tell you the same. Take 3 of them per day and that's all you'll probably need.
