The best thing ever is when you get a gray block neg. With a message saying Negged, *******!!!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry in embarrassment for them. So, I send them deeper into the red.
My favorite is close-grip BB press and weighted dips. I've said this before, but I prop my dip station up on one end so that the arms are tilted, and then I dip facing the downward slope. It takes MAJOR tension off the wrists when doing the exercise.
OK don't break your necks lol, I don't know why it loaded sideways. But anyway, you get the idea. The change looks insignificant but makes an incredible difference on the wrists.

I've found skull crushers, dips, and narrow grip bench to be best. One set I can hardly get through is alternating skull crushers and narrow grip press with no break: x5/x25, x4/x20, x3/x15, x2/x10, x1/x10. At first you think it's easy because you are doing so few skull crushers, but your muscles are on fire by the end.

If you need advice on tricep routines I would say Mil Press and Bench press will work your triceps nicely, just focus on them for now. To balance them get some deadlifts and squats in. Yep..
Squats, Squats, Squats,
Squats squats
Squats, Squats, Squats,
Squats squats,
Errybody
If you aint doin squats get the F out the club.
If you aint gettin quads get the F out the club.

In the not so distant past I thought CGBP was a waste of time, since I do pressing and dips for chest and presses for shoulders, but I've been playing with CGBP lately. They do hit the lateral head very effectively, but not the long head.
I've been doing Decline French Presses for the past year and they've really helped......my triceps have never lagged but these took them to the next level so to speak.
At this point my main arm day tricep routine (1x a week) is Decline French Press and CGBP. I think this is a very good combo.
But, if you wanna train them directly 2x a week:
Day 1 - Decline FP and Dips
Day 2 - CGBP and Overhead Cable Extensions (or DB Kickbacks)
..can be a good strategy as well.Last edited by k9pit; 02-20-2013 at 05:36 PM.
