If you don't mind the size of them (very unfriendly for pocket carry IME) the 18650 is a nice options. It olds a LOT of juice. And you can fall back on 2xCR123 primaries if you cannot recharge.

I have three lights that are designed around 1x18650. I like all of them. One is mounted to my shotgun, one is in the center console of my vehicle, the third is actually sitting next to me on the coffee table, homeless ATM

This is a story of self control and marksmanship with an itsy bitsy shooter by a woman against a fierce predator.

What is the smallest caliber you trust to protect yourself?

While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging at us from out of no where.

She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive.
If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire with me I would not be here today!

Just one quick shot to my boyfriend's knee cap was all it took…….the bear got him and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace.

It's one of the best pistols in my collection……...

For UPS you have to go to a hub. You can't have driver pickup and you can't go to a UPS Store

My friend had a CW9. Nice little carry gun once you get used to that long ass trigger. Normally I would talk sht about .40, but its about the only caliber you can find ammo for at the moment.

There is literally no ammo in town, gander only has personal defense rounds and that's an hour away. Wal-mart only has 20ga shotgun shells and that's about all you can find anywhere in town. They can't keep guns on the shelves at any of the local gun stores either.

MFC IX CLIFFS:

I have a receipt that shows I paid for the shipping label, but at the store all I did was drop it off on the counter like always and leave it to them to scan it. Mistake.

It's still possible that I didn't actually drop it off like I thought I did. I mean, I have moved a lot of stuff lately. But I distinctly remember putting those items in a box, and putting a label on it, and I was very careful about how I did everything after I small mistake a week or two ago (sent somebody a BCM Carrier that was supposed to go do somebody else) and I am 99.999% sure I did it right. And I don't have any extra UPS labels. I only printed one off at a time, and taped it to the appropriate box right away.

I haven't had time yet but I will turn my house upside down looking for any UPS labels I may have printed and not put on a box, and looking for any packages that didn't make it out (same with car), and keep F5'ing the tracking number page to see if maybe they missed the scan and sent it on to the hub and somehow it just hasn't been officially scanned yet (not likely)

For the first time ever Farley admits to making a mistake. The relief feels so good, after years of always being right, that he then proceeds to admit 2-3 other mistakes.

I still haven't turned up anything. If I/UPS doesn't come up with something in a day or two, I will be refunding his money or duplicating the shipment so he gets what he paid for. Fortunately he 'only' paid me $95 total, it was by far the least expensive UPS package I shipped out recently, and I even have the items needed to replace those, if I need to (although I wouldn't have a single L5 AWM left for myself, I had intended to keep 2 of my own)

If everybody else gets their packages, and nobody contacts me to say they got the wrong thing (I'm nearly positive that isn't the case, and if it was they'd tell me as they'd be getting less than what they paid for in value), I'll tell UPS they dun goofed and get the refund/replacement stuff to the guy.

And never again give anybody a package without watiing to see them scan it in/taking a picture of it on their counter with my phone, clearly showing the label, before I walk away

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with my office to express your views on the important issues related to gun violence and school safety measures.

As a former law enforcement official, I certainly understand the importance of keeping violent criminals off of Pennsylvania’s streets while upholding our unwavering commitment to protect law abiding citizen’s Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. While no additional restrictions on the rights of law abiding citizens can stop violent predators intent on committing crime, there are a number of ways my administration is working to protect our schools, keep dangerous criminals off the street and provide care for those suffering from mental illness.

I believe that it is important to ensure the safety of our students against violent criminals. That is why I have proposed to invest $1 billion in our public schools with the privatization of our wine and spirit system over the next 4 years through my Passport to Learning Program. This proposal would provide funding for local school districts to invest in initiatives designed to fit the need of each school, including security programs to protect our students.

As part of our efforts to protect Pennsylvania’s communities, I was pleased to sign HB 898 into law on October 25, 2012. This law imposes strict sentences for those who participate in straw purchasing of firearms for individuals who are legally ineligible to own a gun. This measure is critical to our ongoing efforts to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals. It is essential that we equip our law enforcement officials with the tools and resources necessary to enforce our existing laws. For this reason, I have also proposed three additional classes of state police cadets in the next fiscal year. These classes will provide up to 290 new troopers to ensure that our State Police force retains the necessary man power to protect our communities.

It is also important to note the critical role of mental health policy in ensuring the safety of our Commonwealth. In my budget address for Fiscal Year 2013-2014, I have proposed investing $40 million to provide critical services to families and individuals affected by intellectual and physical disabilities, including people with mental illnesses. This additional funding will help provide necessary care to bring services to our most vulnerable citizens and enables them to live independently, safely and productively in our communities.
