sweet-n-low/ retain water?

Does anyone know if sweet-n-low or any other artificial sweeteners make you retain water?
I am a weeks and half out from my show and I am trying to figure out if I should cut this out from my diet during the last 2 days or so when I am drying out -

thanks!

I don't know that there is any technical reason that sweet-n-low would cause water retention. But because your body's reaction to these things is unpredictable, it may pay off to cut it out several days before the show, just to be on the safe side.

it's quite possible... you'll wnat to stay away from additives and anything refined as much as possible during the final week. Might want to take an anti-histamine the morning of the show to ensure any allergic reaction does not result in water retention.
Peace

Bio Layne - that is actually not the first time I have heard something about an antihistamine -
Any particular one you recommend I take that morning?
Thanks again for the suggestions.....

well if you read my prepare to win precontest article you would have read it in there too

Try to find one that is non-drowsy... though even the ones that are not non-drowsy will probably be fine, as most people are pretty wired the day of their contest

Big bump on taking an antihistamine the morning of. After my last contest, I felt clogged up so I took one. I plan on taking on in the morning and at night for my next show.
