We had a new courthouse built (at the cost of untold milions....) and they had a faairly nice gym located in the basement, complete with actual locker rooms and showering facilities. The lockers are small, but better than nothing I guess.
4 bigscreen TV's , I turned all tem on and blasted the volume, reps if anyone can tell what show was on

We had a new courthouse built in our neck of the woods not too long ago, but it doesn't even have a gym! A couple of seasons ago, I discovered the locker rooms they have available, so that a bike commute isn't such a bad prospect. Dang. Wish we had a gym.
No idea what was on the TV. TV has no place in a gym, anyway.

Yep, walking dead
The gym was originally meant to be almost entirely cardio type stuff, and we had to fight to get any free weights/kettlebell/ No, it's not for powerlifters, but alot of civilians will also have access to it as well (court staff,clerks, etc...) so we kind comprimised on what we finally got. We have anothe substation gym for some more free weights, but it's not as nice and doesn't have a locker room/shower facility.
edit...and it's free, so I can't really complain too much.{**Dirty South Crew**}

The lack of freeweights is most likely a liability issue. Gyms like this are usually unsupervised, and often the people that 'try it out' are the ones you don't want balancing barbells above thier heads. lol
Great gym OP, nice to see a bodyweight station/VKR and kettlebells in there.My training log:

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Agent Lazy78,
Were you the point person on this project? Looks like Life Fitness Optima line and Life Fitness Activate Treads primarily. I imagine with what I can see, if it was all purchased new with GSA pricing, it probably came in around $50 grand. You are right about getting equipment for your audience and what you described as your audience you are lucky to have gotten some KBs. I was fortunate when updating one of our gyms (equipment was really dated) I was dealing primarily with agents/ officers who lifted there. Because of that, we got more free weight stuff, KBs, dumbbells, olympic bars, hex bar, half racks, adjustable benches, 45 degree back extension, etc.
