    Squatted 315lbs for 3 - wanted 5 - Video

    Most here know about my accident and my pelvis, been working on my squats for sometime now. It has been a slow and torturous climb, but I keep chucking along. I never stop squatting, I stay within 225 - 275lbs for reps of 8 - 10 but my attempts at 315lbs have been few in between.

    My very first attempt at squatting after my surgery March 24th 2008 95lbs


    My very first attempt at 315lbs May 13th 2010, I wore a belt out of fear and I could not go below parallel

    Those were great, John. I don't care if you slightly rounded your back on the way up on the last rep. To me, it showed determination. Most people would not have had the courage to go for that last rep.

    great progress in my opinion, even the 3rd rep today , looked better than the single you got in Sept 2014

    You will get the 5 soon enough in my opinion, as that triple should have really helped your confidence .

    Thanks man, been a long haul. I will try 5 next week, my confidence is somewhat f'cked due to the cracking/crunching on my pelvis right now.

    My confidence is not that good right now, read above. But I felt better than a few weeks ago when I switched to goblet squats. I will see next week how I feel.

    Squats looked strong. Tank really showed off how solid your back was throughout the set.

    And laser focus. I was nervous about that guy in blue on the left. Seeing him there, thinking about him bumping the bar ... it would have sabotaged my set.

    Appreciate it. I get better every year that's for sure. My goal is to look like Busta (Matt), squat like Flex and deadlift and bench like ID. One day at a time
